All four female leads from 'Desperate Housewives' were nominated. 'Walk the Line' and 'Good Night' had a couple of nominations. 'Brokeback' got 7 nominations...

My biggest disappointment is a low-profile one. My favorite female performance of the year was Amy Adams in Junebug (and I would have loved a screenplay nod to go to the film as well.)

Not enough Capote for my taste... but I can settle for noms going to Hoffman and best pic.

Well, only 33 days until the awards show. The GG are always an enjoyable evening with something nice to quaff and delish nosh.

I'd really love to see Hoffman win for Capote, it was an awesome performance. Not being a boxing person, I was surprisingly moved by Cinderella Man, but I don't feel Crowe deserves a nod this year in view of the many other fine perfs.

I do have to catch up on some of the others, I am woefully behind in films.

Television, I have no clue, I watch almost none of it, series wise.

I really enjoyed 'Cinderella Man' also. I was moved by it. Maybe it'll get Oscar nods.

After reading about who votes on the Golden Globes, I don't really see it as a real awards show. I'm sure it's still nice to win and all.
