Say, kids, what's the skinny on the Disneyland Hotel signs being removed from the buildings?
I caught wind of it over at MiceChat.

This is the final removal part from the multi-phase agreement that was approved by Anaheim some years back to improve the look of business signage around the Anaheim Resort.
The Disneyland Hotel signs are not compliant with the new Anaheim Resort District program and have to be removed. The Disneyland Resort has been aware of this and knew of the time line that was established.
Keep in mind though, none of these hotel signs are the original signs.

Oh, how sad. I was bummed when the one facing Disneyland was removed, but glad that the street-side one remained. Bah on removing them all. It's the last remnant of giant signage in authentic Disneyland font. Bah and Double Bah!

I think iSm should find them and add them to his collection of signage in his apt.

I'd KILL for the giant neon D.
And, I HATE the fact that the sign is gone.

You can all fight each other over them on eBay.
Too bad there aren't two "s"s and two "a"s in Disneyland Hotel, otherwise you could buy it and have a giant sign that says "ass Hat." Maybe you could repurpose one of the "n"s to spell out "Damn Hot"

Hmmm, some of you should pool together your life savings, and buy me a giant Disneyland "D" for my signage collection. There's still time b4 Xmas!!

Man, I can't imagine how much that "D" would go for at auction.

Isn't it also one story high? Who has room for that in their house?

Well, there goes one of my favorite things to see in the late night, wee hours of the morning. How I always loved looking up at the Bonita Tower's glowing red neon sign proclaiming "Disneyland Ho". That would always bring a smile to my face!:D Wish I would have taken a picture of it when I had the chance.
