MickeyD and I saw The Family Stone this weekend. While it wasn't what I thought it would be it was very good. It's more of a dramatic romantic comedy.

It was ice to see another movie with a gay couple that was protrayed as two people who happened to be gay in love. No flamboyant behavior, no "in your face" behavior. Just a couple in love who happen to be gay. And there was no death by AIDS or death by hanging (thanks iSm).

The more I think about it the more I enjoyed the movie. The only thing I did not like was the preview for Eight Below at the beginning. Ya, you need Kleenex for that.

I've heard many good things about it (and I like Rachel McAdams every time I've seen her so far) but I'm somewhat put off by the horrible one-sheet being used to advertise it.

I know that is a horrible reason for moving a film down the must-see list, but it's visceral. If you haven't seen it, you can at the movies IMDb page (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0356680/combined (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0356680/combined)) ).
