Commercials that slay you

I just saw this particular commercial for about the 1000th time and it just kills me every time. It's so stupid, really.....

These three guys are in an office. One is sitting with a boombox on his lap playing some sort of techno pop music, and the other two are dancing some sort of horrid dance, thinking they are sexy or something. A guy comes in and looks at them for a couple seconds, and they turn off the music and stop dancing.

"what are you doing?" asks the guy who comes in on them dancing. "No one knows how many converters we have, we don't know where the turck is, and no one knows where Martins is." Disgusted, the two dancers pull out their phones.

In about 5 seconds, the two dancers find the answers using their Nextel phones. Giving the intruder a look that says "yes, we're all that", the music turns back on and they go back to their dancimg.

It shouldn't slay me. But the music, the expressions, and the dancing is just....perfect.

What commercial kills you every time you see it?

I love that commercial. Funny every time. The song is an old dance standard from the late 80's, by Salt 'n Pepa, I think.

I love Jack in the Box commercials. Seems they show them just the right amount of times, and just when they start getting old, they pull them. The recent holiday antenna ball one got a laugh out of me EVERY time. It's an antenna ball xmas party, and one naughty reindeer ball sits on the copy machine and makes copies. The last shot you see is someone holding up a piece of paper in disgust....they show the paper and it's the copy, showing the hole in the bottom of the antenna ball. Heehee, he's got a hole! :D

The stupid one for Carl's Junior, with the guy shaking the cow...weird, but I like it. I don't know why.

Big fan of all the Jack-in-the-Box commercials. They rarely disappoint.

I hate to admit it, but I like that one Miller lite commercial with Flava Flav. I mean, the commercial itself is dumb, and the whole "more flavor" campaign is beyond dumb, but God bless the advertising wizards who thought to bring in Flava Flav. That's brilliant.

The "Save the Greenbacks" commercials that have been running for that car company (GM?) are hilarious, in an evil, twisted, mocking-environmentalists sort of way.

Oh, and I always crack up when I see myself in this PSA I was in for the city. I look goofy :D

I have to agree~that cow commercial is just bizarre. I like the song but I've seen too many news stories of men in love with their neighbors cows....

I love the one {can't remember at this moment what it is for} where the woman says 'I'm going to get a pool boy...and I don't even have a pool'. Cracks me up every time. I don't know why.....;)

Or the one with the Mitsubishi truck and the {I think} Nissan truck. They show them like they are rams or something about to fight one another and the Nissan {or Toyota} starts to leak water from the radiator {to simulate it peeing it's pants?}.

The one I was thinking of was the Starbucks commercial with Survivor singing Glen's theme song as he's off to work. 'Glen! Glen! Glen! Glen!'

That one and (speaking of mariachis) there's a gum commercial where a guy says there's a party in his mouth and a group of mariachis appear in his mouth. Then he drinks something and one of the mariachis gets swallowed. 'Enrique!' cries one of the band members...

Okay, hard to describe. You have to see them to get them.

I love that mariachis Starburst commercial, too funny. The hooker trying to revive the Senator cracks me up but it's been shown too many times. I admit it's tasteless :p

Ok, this doesn't make me laugh, but I nearly cry every time that little dog goes to Disneyland. Sniff!

I'm still laughing at a Sears Christmas commercial from two years ago. It was the one where the woman kept asking her husband if there was anything on her neck, ears, etc. Then she'd be say, "huh, interesting," or something to that affect. It was funnier in person. I loved that commercial.

I don't really watch commercials anymore. Not sure why. I usually try and get things done during them.
