There has been a recall of 19 brands of dog food because food canned on a certain day has been shown to have high levels of a toxin that has already been linked to 76 dog deaths. If you've fed your pet any of the listed brands, you should probably bring them to the vet asap.

This is such a sad story, those poor dogs that have been affected. :(

One key thing to note here, none of these products were sold in California.

...But they were sold my neck of the woods. I've been following this story for some time but since we spoil our dogs shamelessly they only eat special vet recommended overprice-chow and not these discount brands.

eeep! they make the Costco stuff! It's not on the recall list, but I think I'm glad I get my kitties (cat food also recalled) the 'spensive stuff.
