Aside form my AP, I'm also a MOCA (Museum of Contemporary Art) member. Yesterday, I received and intriguing mailing from them announcing an upcoming exhibit, Visual Music (http://www.moca-la.org/museum/futureexhibitionslist.php). This is cool in itself, and the opening performance art and DJs, but accompanying the exhibit is a serries of art/music concerts at REDHAT (Roy and Edna Disney/CalArts Thaeter - part of the Disney Hall complex) that feature some interesting acts, including former memebrs of Throbbing Gristle (http://calarts.edu/redcat/season/20042005/mus/vm1.html).

I think this stuff sounds delightfully cool and swanky - perhaps a perfect mix with drinks at the standard? Anyway, I think I may go to a few of these and make use of my other card.

Nice, this does sound intriguing, €uroMeinke. Reading the copy reminds of that "LA: light / motion / dreams" at the Natural History Museum (http://www.nhm.org/exhibitions/lalmd/).

I'll check this out later in the year. Thanks for the recommendation.

And then after that, from June to November, it's time for King Tutankhamun (http://www.kingtut.org/home.htm) at LACMA (http://www.kingtut.org/la.htm). Woo-hoo!

I missed King Tut (DAMN that song!) the first time, so I NEED to see it.

I'd love some museum action.
