Alberto Gonzales spoke before law students at Georgetown today, justifying illegal, unauthorized surveilance of US citizens, but during the course of his speech the students in class did something pretty ballsy and brave. They got up from their seats and turned their backs to him.Check this (http://insomnia.livejournal.com/652389.html?nc=2&style=mine) out for more info and pictures.

Wow.
And about time, too. I keep wondering where the hell the outrage is in America. Are we really such sheep that we would allow these bastards* to terrorise us into submissively handing over the keys to the Kingdom? It's been said before, and much more eloquently than I can state, but this country has already lost the damn 'War on Terror' if we continue to so willingly give up our rights.
It speaks volumes that these are not easily-dismissed latter-day hippies, but men and women from a prestigious University who have made the law their choice of career. Thanks, SM!

Why do so many college students hate America?
FISA is slow and unresponsive to a post 9/11 world.
Congress authorized us to abuse the civil rights of American citizens.
The Fourth Amendment is for p*ssies.
Anyone who thinks that the president shouldn't spy on innocent American citizens is obviously in cahoots with the terrorists.
9/11!
BECAUSE I AM THE PRESIDENT AND MY MOMMY SAYS I AM SPECIAL!
