Yeah, we'll have that in the park update on Monday. Florida cast members got a different version that specifically highlights Alice Davis' role in the new elements.

Well, that's cool. Maybe some of Marc Davis elements?

I heard they're going back to the walk-through concept, but keeping the water.
So it'll be a wade-through.
Yo Ho!

That first drop ought be a lot of fun on foot.

Can I put in one request for the rehab?

Pirates chase wenches! Not the other way round.

I believe Alice Davis did most of the costume design on the original pirates - so maybe WDW Pirates will get some new clothes?

Was the message supposed to be reassuring??? Tone-deaf it was, methinks.

The thing at WDW says that the new "Sirens' Cove" element was directed by Alice Davis. Have no idea if she is involved in the DLR changes.

Damn, Mouspod's Opera link has me thinking about nude Rheinmaidens now, so "Sirens'Cove" sounds awsome.

Nervous though I may be about the changes, my desire to hump both Jack Sparrow and a robot is thrilling at the idea of a Jack Sparrow animatronic. Of course, its inclusion may result in my being thrown out of a place for the first time in my life.

Also, when does the ride shut down? I want to get in at least one more sail in before the ride I remember is gone forever.

Was the message supposed to be reassuring??? Tone-deaf it was, methinks.Hmm, I felt a bit reassured by it. A nicely themed note to keep everyone on track. Tone-deaf?

Best word? incorporatin' :D

Not sure if this has been mentioned here before since I’m new, but I thought I would throw it up just in case. This article on Mice Age gives a detailed description of what’s changing.

New elements? Like a loop, or maybe a LSM launch up the waterfall at the end!? :)

Sorry, just reminded me of all the people saying over and over that Space Mountain was getting radically changed...

Let me guess- Emmer named some of the DCA rides, right?

Notice that the article is almost a year old. And based on some things that have been trickling out, you really haven't seen the impact yet.

Yes, as in trying to placate folks who are worried that beloved robots and spiels will be replaced by Sparrow and Barbossa and Davy Jones, a message to assure that we will love beloved robots and spiels being replaced by Sparrow and Barbossa and Davy Jones.

'No worries, mates, your worst fears are really coming true!'

It looks like someone took some time and effort (phone calls, spoofed legitimate email addresses, etc.) to fool us into publishing the WDW poster I mentioned above. I'm embarrassed but it seems to be true, so disregard the part about Alice Davis above.

We have no solid confirmation that she has been involved in any substantive way.

You know, people can be so dumb in what they find amusing.

I'm sorry that happened, Alex.

I wasn't sure where to post this but the LA Times today (2/12) has an editorial lamenting the Depp-ification of Pirates.
