Here's something I like about Pennsylvania already. The Just Born candy company is located here, so Peeps are plentiful and inexpensive. I shopped at a local Wegman's today (impressive supermarket!) and found yellow, white, pink and purple chicks, and my own favorite, the flavored Peeps eggs. I had only tried Vanilla Peeps eggs before, but today, I fed Orange Creme and Strawberry into my happy face. :)
Also, ripping up an Orange Creme Peeps egg and dropping it into hot cocoa is reaallly yummy! :coffee:

That sounds good to me. Maybe a Mocha Valencia. I need something with Caramel as well. Good stuff.

Cheap Peeps?
I like the vanilla. Now I am going to have to hunt for the Orange Cream. My biggest problem with Peeps is that I can buy 3 packages, but when I get home I can't ever find anything other than the empties. I never know if it was me or Nickolas.

The Peeps website (http://www.marshmallowpeeps.com/index.html) is cool, too. Who knew you could personalize and decorate your own?
:snap:
I'd love the orange cream ones! Yum!

I shopped at a local Wegman's today (impressive supermarket!)NO WAY! There's a Wegman's in State College? You are so lucky! I miss Wegman's. It started out in the town where I grew up and it's the best supermarket ever.

I AM SO JEALOUS!!!!!!!!!!!
We dont have easter peeps yet out in CA. and I'm not much for the flavored ones.. but still!
The way I hear tell, when I was a tiny child, or before I was born, my mom would go to the drugstore, out here in CA, and the peeps would be in an open display for picking and tossing into a bag. Fresh ones, not so fresh ones............
I wish I could have done that.
And Flippy Shark, I am again, terribly jealous.
I LOVE peeps!

This is SO wrong.
You went to Wegman's and you're excited about Peeps?
I seem to have gleaned the same information from your post that Steph did.

They are already making Easter Peeps? Won't they get stale by the time Easter rolls around?
I had a Valentines one the other day at work -- shaped like a heart with strawberry flavor. It was quite tasty, I must say.

Nickolas passed out Yugioh valentines at school today. I had bought them mainly because they were the only ones that weren't all gushy and lovey dovey. It didn't hurt that he is totally into Yugioh and they had little chocolates attached. He told me today that someone had better valentines with better candy. Sure enough, someone had passed out Peeps valentine cards.
