We're supposed to have the largest snow in 3 years here, 9-12 inches by tomorrow morning (which for me is a lot). Going to be gorgeous on the farm here, I'll see if I can wade out in my boots and take some pics tomorrow.
GC, you keep warm, I hope you won't be shoveling! I expect if I get 12 inches, you'll get a heck of a lot more where you are.

IT has been way too warm here. Nights get down to 37ish, but days are in mid-upper 70's.

Snow is just starting to drift in here... It's supposed to get heavy as the day goes on... 6-10 inches was the last I heard.
Supplies laid in: Firewood, Fondue, S'mores, netflix. All the basics of survival...

:snap: Yes! You are ready!
Now snowing in earnest here, 9-10 inches predicted overnight for me. So tomorrow I will be shoveling the walkway to the car and de-snowing the car.
I've got Princess Moanoke and The Bad Sleep Well from Netflix. Hot chocolate (peppermint or raspberry), no marshmallows :( I forgot drat!
And I made creme brulee. So I am all set, too!
The white blanket is almost complete, can barely see the ground.
NA, God I hope it stays 70-75 while I'm there, anything higher and I will melt like the wicked witch of the west.

I want winter back. All this is doing is reminding me that 100+ temps are just around the corner.
Also with my job hunt beginning all I have bought are coldish weather clothes.
*le sigh*

Thanks, Snowflake. :) Actually, we're expectng 10 inches, possibly more. Either way, I think we'll be shoveling. :D
The news of the blizzard is all over the news. Blizzard Watch '06! Storm Watch '06! Noreaster! Gasp and swoon!
Whenever Frodo yawns, he makes this kind of howl/whine at the end of his yawn that sounds like a little girl scream, 'Yawwweee!'. (It's really cute.) Anyway, we're watching the news and the announcer says something like, 'Boston, it looks like we're in for a blizzard!' And Frodo responds with a 'Yawwwee!' Like he was screaming in fright after the blizzard news. Hysterical! Laughed my buttocks off. (Okay, guess you had to be there...)
:D
We had Udon tonight for dinner. With shrimp, fishcake and crab in it. Nothing like hot soup when it's 18 degrees out. Mmm mmm.

We found out this morning that the amount of snow that fell in our area was two feet.
(Haw haw. I worded that so KB would have a hard time making a penis joke out of it.)

"I woke up to three inches of the soft stuff today."
Yw.
Seriously, I've been avoiding this thread because of winter denial, which was working until I got up today. Damn!!!!! I really hate this stuff anymore, and it was so nice out yesterday.:(

Living in the Twin Cities, I love the snow. I just hate driving in it.
All this snow and cold is great for cross country skiing which I love! I'm counting down to this weekend when I will be at Maplelag (http://www.maplelag.com/) skiing, eating, and lounging in Minnesota's largest hot tub. Always the best and most relaxing vacation I take.

Well, 'The Shadoe', that certainly sounds like a wonderful time.
Snow here in San Diego? Well, we went up to Mt. Laguna/Julian and waited as long as we could for it to snow. The weather did turn quite cold and gray but nothing. So we headed back down the mountain, stopping for cocoa at Mt. Laguna. Still nothing {higher elevation}. So we started down the mountain and we got flurries! I know, to you with 2 feet, wow, flurries are nothing but to me!!! Wahoo!!!
My son is going to be going to camp next week and rain is predicted. So, it is possible that it may snow for them!! He has been in snow before but this would make camp so much more special than if it, maybe, just rained and became muddy.
