The Lowdown
My plans for the evening were pre-empted and I decided to turn the night into a much needed evening at home. While debating what to have for dinner, I remembered the hole in the wall sushi restaurant I keep noticing and decided to stop in.

The Gig
Dinner
The Grub
Sango Sushi has a large menu to choose from.
After combing over the menu a few times I decided to order "Combo A" and a crunchy roll. The combo consisted of an 8-piece tuna roll, tuna, salmon, shrimp, white fish, albacore and egg sushi. The crunchy roll was 6 pieces. Total cost: $12
The Scene
Sango Sushi is a little hole in the wall restaurant with about 10 tables, the largest seating four. The wall behind the service area contained the full menu. Sushi bar items are prepared at the front counter and you can watch them while waiting for your order if you wish.
There is a self serve counter with various sauces and what they are used for, napkins, cutlery and chopsticks as well as a self serve soda machine for free refills.
Ingrediants were fresh. Everything was prepared perfectly and the portions are huge. I didn't miss the rice and soup that included at some sushi restaurants; however it is available for a token charge. The employees were all friendly and they recognized their regulars with familiar questions.
Since moving to south county I've been on a quest to find good hole in the wall restaurants. Sango Sushi may technically be a chain with it's three locations but it has the feel and quality of a mom & pop restaurant.
