What an admirable woman. Christopher Reeve, while alive, was a lucky man to have a wife who truly loved him for the person he was. While I am sure she had her private moments wondering why she had been dealt the hand she had, there was never a public complaint or showing of any lack of resolve to stand with him, which I have no doubt was more difficult than anything I have ever faced or will face.

She is one person that I am sure everyone who had the opportunity was better off for having known her.

I am so saddened by this, mostly because of their young son who is now without parents. That is just too much for any child to go through- I hope he's close to his older sibs and they are able to help him get through this.

Wow. Such a rare and amazing soul to have been by Christopher Reeves' side for all of that time. Just astounding.

This is a woman who deserved to live a long life, but in an almost ironic twist she's once again with her love and in a sense gets to spend forever with him.

one of the things that impressed me most about her was that not only did she dedicate herself to being caretaker for her severely disabled husband, she made it her cause to make it better for him and all those in similar situations. in such a position, she could have easily walked and with what she would have been able to take from the marriage, lived very well without such a burden.

she didnt. she not only stayed but took his issues and made a lifes work out of making it better for so many folk she didnt even know and owed no debt to.

bravo to her. the world is less for having lost her, but better because she was ever in it. what better epitaph could one hope for?

My heart goes out to their 13 year old son. What great role models this kid had, and hopefully he will be well taken care of after all of this.

This made me so sad. She was so brave and corageous. And she kept her sense of humor and always acted classy.

What would suck is when she gets to heaven, she finds that not only is he still in his wheelchair, but now she has to hold his harp for him for all eternity.

Or is that THE OTHER PLACE?
