Circle 7 was built to make sequels to the movies Disney made with Pixar Animation Studios. Although Disney had sequel rights to those films, Pixar did not intend to help make them, including "Toy Story 3," which had been under way at Circle 7.

Well, no more sequels is good, but it is the bland Dinsy sequels that have been the issue, not the Pixar.

Yeah, but these were bland Disney sequels of Pixar movies.

I wonder (ihopeihopeihope) if Lassetter is going to suggest to Disney that they rethink their strategy of burying traditional animation.

Are these the same persons responsible for that boring travesty of cgi that is known as Chicken Little? Having watched as much as I could stomach last night, I am still angry that we actually bought the stupid dvd. Even Tori hated it, and she likes everything. I predict it will become a mini-frisbee before long.

I was upset that my wife purchased it. We took the kiddos to see it in the theatres and I was amazed at the immense stupidity of it. My kids didn't even like it, and like your Tori, they like everything.

So why did my wife buy it? The kids watched it this morning (it's spring break). They will never watch it again.

My son loved that stupid movie. We saw it at DTD and they had the giant Chicken Little balloon over DCA, he thought it was the coolest thing ever and still talks about it.
We didn't buy it because he has been saving money for two video games and Cirque du Soleil souvenirs.
I'd be glad to see all the sequels over with. Some of them have gone on far too long.

If the only thing Lassetter every does is bury the sequel machine once and for all, he's one of the biggest heroes in Disney history.

I think he may do more than that.

To answer wendybeth's question, no this won't affect the people responsible for Chicken Little (which I found tolerable though not needing any future viewings).

Circle 7 was specifically to make sequels to the Pixar movies if Pixar refused involvement. Chicken Little came out of Walt Disney Feature Animation.
