Right now, it is illegal to call women names in my fair state. A Senator seeks to rectify that: Washington Wench (http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,145263,00.html)
We are goofy up here, aren't we?

The statute prohibits "false or defamatory words or language which shall injure or impair" the virtuous and chaste reputation of any female over 12. The law does say it is OK to slander (search (http://search.foxnews.com/info.foxnws/redirs_all.htm?pgtarg=wbsdogpile&qcat=web&qkw=slander)) a "common prostitute."
So weird!!! Old laws crack me up. :D I love that it's okay to slander or use defamatory language toward a prostitute!! WTF??
I remember when the Michigan man was convicted for cussing when he fell out of the canoe (mentioned in article).

I figured the title of the thread was referring to Claire living in Oregon. (rim-shot)

Wow! Thanks for the heads up! Now it looks like I'll have to refer to my soon-to-be Mother In Law by her actual name.
At least until she moves... :D

Wow. The current laws would make Ren Fair rather boring up there. :|

It has always been a not-so secret wish I ming to go to Medieval Times.
I wonder when someone will make my dream come true.
Maybe I will. For my next birthday. Party at Midieval Times, people!

Lol- we had a lot of fun there last April! They were running a Cuervo/Corona special, and so we were fairly lit before we even went into the tournament area. Our guy, who had fabulous hair, won. I 'interpreted' the High English' speech for Tori, who now tells everyone I can speak a foreign language... Eric kept calling for the serving 'wench'- I think he enjoyed doing that a little too much.

Oh, I must go! I most go! And before I go, I must first get lit.
