It's a gorgeous day outside, the Japanese magnolia are starting to bloom, the daffies and iris are begining to come up out of the ground in my garden, the cardinals are flying around fighting for territory with the blue birds, it's sunny, warm and that last thing I want to do is be here, sitting in my dreary office that is filled with so much bad juju. And yet, here I am. Sigh.....

It's beautiful outside over here, too. But I much prefer the office's fluorescent lights to outside any day... Not!

The janitors just changed the lights in our back office area. It is TOO bright! Well.. it could also be that we library folk like it a little dark so we can hide out from the public eye.

I want to travel. I dreamed we were in Japan last night and the cherry blossoms were in bloom. There was also a black tiger walking around the streets and we got to play with him for a while.
Forget Spring, I think I just must have a fever.

What a totally cool dream! I'm sure Buster was really proud he invaded your dreams and came out as a black tiger (which he is)

Yes, I'm changing, spring cleaning (preparing for move back to CA) and throwing out so much stuff it's amazing! That said, the fever I have involves no cleaning, except maybe some yard clean up and an umbrella drink!

Yeah, the prodigal is returning! Long story short, I had a mid-life crisis, moved east to work on a book with a friend, the book has not materialzed and the friendship is not what it used to be (took me three years to get over that, otherwise I would have come home sooner)
So, on my agenda is, clean, throw crap out, freecycle (anyone want a futon?) and get rid of all the furniture except the desk, office chair and dining room (4 art deco chairs and a gorgeous drop leaf table), pack up my precious books and cds and my beloved kitty and be back in CA by mid June. Then, once I am gainfully employed (I was out to dinner networking that last night), I will be an AP holder. That's the plan, anyway.
My mother will be thrilled at 2 things, number (1) I am succeeding at losing weight and (2) I will be in the same state and closer and likely to visit more often.
You don't want me to clean anything of your's, I'm a closet Oscar Madison, the Felix Unger in me is definitely the smaller voice! Oh, and you don't want to come clean my house for the same reason! Oscar Madison in drag lives at my house

I don't want to be at work. I want to be cleaning and dusting and getting rid of stuff. I was thinking of taking tomorrow off to do all this but it's supposed to rain... and if it does that I would end up sitting on my bum all day.

Yeah, I should probably do some Spring cleaning. Anybody know where I can rent a bulldozer?
It was funny that one of our dragons who was down for his Winter nap (called brumation - not as deep of sleep as hibernation) woke up on the first day of Spring!

I have 2 weeks of vacation time saved up so I'm taking a day tomorrow and cleaning! Yes, I know. Why take a vacation day to clean you ask? Because I never have time to clean on the weekends.
Is it sick and wrong that I am excited about cleaning?
