Disney is launching a US service that will enable parents to monitor how their children use their mobile phones.

They will be able to track voice, text, video and picture messages and set limits on their children's calls.
The phone will also allow parents to locate where their children are via a global positioning system.

Why do I expect to have this "service" installed in my next Company cell phone...

Humm.. I see several sides to this issue.

First, it's good for parents to be able to track their kids...if they are lucky enough to know their kids have a cell phone (thank pre-paid for that). I kind-of see the need for kids to have cell phones now, since pay-phones are few and far between these days, but I'm undecided if the trouble of having one (secret calls and texting) is worth it.

But I can see companies using this (like EuroMonkey mentions) to keep track of their employees cell phones. Then the employee will have to carry two phones around.

And what if that creepy guy who lives around the corner manages to get ahold of that GPS info...?
