I'm happy to see Coke Corner & The Main Street Cone Shoppe passed with flying colors. I had faith that they would- I used to work in both locations! That was my very first job. :)

Now, WTF is goin' on in the The Lost Bar? To think I spent one blurry summer there knockin' back Long Islands with vermin (oh, yes. And the rodent kind, too. :p). Maybe they even jacuzzi'd in my drink before my lips ever reached the lemon rim. Friggin' A! Thank goodness I quit drinking! :(

Gotta love those with "vermin". Ick. Fortunately I only saw two.

Somehow I knew vermin would be on the Hungry Bear report.

I'm refusing to open these links.

I don't want to know about Mickey's friends and I'm alergic to cockroach poo. I'll never eat again.

I really, really don't want to know how you discovered you were allergic to cockroach poo.

LOL! I think I'll just let your mind work with that concept for a while before I tell you.

Lol, Scaeagles!

Spokane is only dangerous if you're allergic to marmot poo- no cockroaches up here that I know of!

I once slept in a Spokane YMCA that had plenty of cockroaches. Must be something about YMCAs because I also slept once at the San Jose YMCA and there were so man cockroaches that in the middle of the night we dragged a friend to the other side of the room in the sleeping bag and had him half convinced the cockroaches carried him.

Did you know that cockroaches will eat eyebrows and that people living in extreme infestation situations (particularly children) can end up with no eyebrows?

Good to see that Hungry Bear got their vermin problem under control. However, I'm a little grossed out by the lack of handwashing at RBT. Eeeeew!!!!

I think we're too on the stringent side. Getting a little bacteria (and rat poop) into the system every once in a while is good for you. That way when you're travelling around rural Peru you'll be able to eat from that little hole in the wall.

Ok, ok! So I had a bit of a five o'clock shadow that summer after work! I would hardly call myself "vermin".:p ;)

I'm not surprised about Paradise Pier's good marks. I pass through the kitchen every day to get to the break room and it is always in great shape. They also had done a major rehab last year to the kitchen and the dining area of PCH Grill. :snap: It looks good back there, so I have nothing but props to the folks that work back there.

Maybe the San Jose ones hitched a ride to the Y here......
Seriously, even though I know we must have them, I have never in my entire life seen one in Spokane. The Y you probably stayed at was the downtown one, which is ancient and probably infested with rats as well.

For some reason it's always disturbed me that signs are posted to remind employees about hand washing. Something about them needing to be reminded kinda makes me wonder....

Oh I know that it's law for them to be posted. Doesn't change my reaction every time I see one of them posted. I'm sure there are some places where the emploees really do need the reminding, and that frightens me.

I can't fathom why it wouldn't be "automatic" to wash one's hands after using the toilet. Just grosssssssssssssssssss. :decap:
