Gave them a generous one month notice and I feel like a 2 ton weight has lifted off my shoulders. Nasty, soul sucking, evil firm now that we merged with the evil nasty Shaw firm. I can hardly wait to kiss them off.
My lovely boss took it well on the surface, I cannot honestly believe he was at all surprised. I swore him to the pledge that when he comes to SF, if he does not visit, I will hex him! He and his partner are totally 100% nice and I hope his departure will follow soon, he needs his soul back. I had hoped we'd go out together in a blaze of glory, but at least he affirmed to me he is, in fact, looking. That gives me hope he won't die here, he's way too nice and too good at what he does to give his all to the people who do not care nor do they give a s*** about him.
Now to find a non-soul sucking job in SF!

Uh, yeah, you'd be right! :D
Truly, the nicest attorney I've ever worked with. I will miss him more than I can say. At least I know we'll talk and email. And he knows, I will hex him but good if he is in the Bay Area and we don't have dinner. I have a perfect place he can burn a hole in his tongue, Henry's Hunan. I've never seen anyone pile on more hot sauce/chilli paste than Jeff.
Thanks for the good wishes!

That's the plan my dear. I plan to be an AP holder and am looking forward to it!

I'm glad you're movin' west, but am I the only person on this board that really loves their current employment?

I like mine, even though it seems that the owner is bi-polar... she keeps laying people off and cutting others to part time.
