In the interest of starting a non-political thread.....
What??? No one is on the LoT at 3:00am AZ time? I'm shocked.
Woke up about a half hour ago with a killer headache and a noce running like a faucet. Not a good sign. And there's not even any new posts since I last logged on yesterday at 9:30pm, so what the heck am I to do? Sigh. Something tells me the wife wouldn't be amused if I woke her up to chat.
SOMEONE WAKE UP AND POST!

Sorry you had a bad night, Leo.
What? They don't have infomercials in Arizona?

Slept like a rock.
Probably because you were a rock, surrounded by kitties. :)
scaeagles, if you just had the warm comfort of a few (or 7 or 20) cats in your bed, I'm sure you wouldn't be having these problems.

I was serenading a bunch of hippies with Grateful Dead music. They seemed to smile a lot which means that they either enjoyed it, or it was the drugs, or both. :)

The general quietude on the LoT most weekends is indicative of a very healthy Have a Life mode that most of our members possess.
The LoT seems to be most active during the weekday workday ... and, now that I can no longer read or post from work, I'd like to see that not-so-slowly shift to a weeknight, happy hour, post-workday party atmosphere hereabouts. :snap:
I'll buy the first round...

I live behind the *dreaded* Orange Curtain and I was out until the wee hours of the morning shooting pool and having a grand ol time. I'm sure you can find pleanty to do being much closer to LA.

I was busy feeling old, seeing high school friends who I haven't seen in 5 years and have gone bald and gray in that time!

Nope - just been running myself ragged on a very busy mother's day. Only now have I had a moment to sit.
I ended up back to sleep on my couch (so I wouldn't keep the wife awake tossing and turning) by about 4:30, only to be awakened by my early riser 4 year old at 5:30, asking me to get her some breakfast.
So I'm tired. But I have to watch Survivor.

Mother's Day is all about Tatsu...
The whole world is Tatsu...
I'm losing this battle (for now), but I think our first child should be named Tatsu.
I've had a LOT of fun today :D

I slept very well last night. Nickolas and I got home around 5. We went to DLR for my pre-Mother's Day breakfast. This morning no one bugged me and both let me sleep, undisturbed, until I got up around 10.

We went to the park but it seems scaegles failed to follow my advice and head to the park. For some strange reason everyone seemed to have some obligation about their mother - how wierd is that?

Would have much preferred being at the park than with my two moron brothers in law. My mother in law.....certainly worthy of honoring. Too bad two of her kids turned out to be idiots (my wife, the other, being the exception).

Good save there, Scaeagles.;)
I slept fine, and had a reasonably lazy day. Went to a wayyyy too expensive for what ya got brunch at what is supposed to be a nice place today. It was okay, but nothing stellar. Tori and I fixed each others hair and watched a marathon run of 'Gilmore Girls'. I love the show but really hate all the damned commercials- which is why I seldom watch tv anymore.

My brother left a message on my phone asking if I even live at my address anymore.
I love having a life  but then spending all Sunday night in front of the tube.
For future reference, scaeagles, if you can't sleep, youtube or Google Video really are great late-night time killers, like ML suggested.

I can't sleep 'cause my bed's on fire

Maybe this is more scaeagles bag?
I've just closed my eyes again
Climbed aboard the dream weaver train
Driver take away my worries of today
And leave tomorrow behind
(chorus)
Ooh dream weaver
I believe you can get me through the night
Ooh dream weaver
I believe we can reach the morning light
Fly me high through the starry skies
Maybe to an astral plane
Cross the highways of fantasy
Help me to forget today's pain
(chorus again)
Though the dawn may be coming soon
There still may be some time
Fly me away to the bright side of the moon
And meet me on the other side
Thank you, Gary Wright :)

I can't seem to face up to the facts
I'm tense and nervous and I can't relax
This Colonel Sanders job is gettin' me down
A crazy chicken chasing me all over town
CHORUS:
Psycho Chicken—what the fück?
Bwak bwak bwak bwaaak bwak bwak bwak bwak bwaaak bwak
Better run run run run run run run away
I don't know just what to do
He's got a grudge against Frank Perdue
He's clucking a lot, but he's not saying anything
I plucked him once—why pluck him again?
CHORUS
Colonel Sanders wants to cook his goose
but Psycho Chicken's still on the loose
("Hmm, a little chickie—"BWAAK!! "OHH!!")
They caught him down in Ohio
They cut off his head and they put him in the oven
They put him in a box right next to a roll
Put some coleslaw around his legs and someone took him home
Ate him for lunch and he tasted real fine ("BURP!")
but the guy who ate him, he just lost his mind!

I can't get no sleep
I can't get no sleep
I need to sleep, I can't get no sleep
I need to sleep, I can't get no sleep
Deep in the bosom of the gentle night
Is when I search for the light
Pick up my pen and start to write
I struggle, I fight dark forces
In the clear moon light
Without fear... insomnia
I can't get no sleep
I used to worry, thought I was goin' mad in a hurry
Gettin' stress, makin' excess mess in darkness
No electricity, something's all over me, greasy
Insomnia please release me and let me dream of
Makin' mad love to my girl on the heath
Tearin' off tights with my teeth
But there's no release, no peace
I toss and turn without cease
Like a curse, open my eyes and rise like yeast
At least a couple of weeks
Since I last slept, kept takin' sleepers
But now I keep myself pepped
Deeper still, that night I write by candle light
I find insight, fundamental movement, uh
So when it's black this insomniac take an original tack
Keep the beast in my nature under ceaseless attack
I gets no sleep
I can't get no sleep

I only smoke weed when I need to
And I need to get some rest
I confess, I burnt a hole in the mattress
Yes, yes, it was me, I plead guilty
And on the count of three I pull back the duvet
Make my way to the refrigerator
One dry potato inside, no lie
Not even bread, jam
When the light above my head went bam!
I can't sleep, something's all over me
Greasy, insomnia please release me
And let me dream about making mad love on the heath
Tearing off tights with my teeth
But there's no relief
I'm wide awake in my kitchen
It's dark and I'm lonely
Oh, if I could only get some sleep
Creeky noises make my skin creep
I need to get some sleep
I can't get no sleep....
