Couldn't you (Heidi) use the ParkHopper KB offered and upgrade to an AP, thereby saving a few bucks?Actually, she can't since it was a freebie ticket. It says on the ticket: "May not be refunded or exchanged toward the purchase of any other admission media."

But you may be able to talk a regular day user out of their paid ticket for same purpose.

I just want to state for the record that I REALLY want to be there...

I just dont know that I can. I'm trying to get a vehicle thats not confined to city limits, but until I do, borrowing a car for a 1/5 hour drive isnt as easy as it could be.

If I dont make it, know that truly did want to be there, and will be there in spirit. Trapped away in NA's phone. Someone, take pictures.

Well, here's the down-low on all of us here on LoT:

NotAfraid - (aka Madame Cat-astrophe) Specializes in training felines to do her bidding. Often sporting a black cat suit and knee high boots, she sometiems wears jackets made from the skins of her former lovers. She hides cats in her hairstyle for sudden unexpetced attacks on the unaware.

€uromeinke - (aka €uromonkey) This assassin specializes in Monkey Kung Fu. An ancient form of self defense that he learned visiting the Lapland regions of Scandinavia. Beware of his collection of writing implements that can also be used to conceal poison darts and acid ink.

Ghoulish Delight - (aka Bacon) This notorious man, you can tell because he sports a goatee, is a communications master. At the click of a button he can erase anything you write and delete your identity completely. Beware of those in-person encounters, with a two word command, 'Munchykin, Go!' He can command his tricky mascot to run circles around you creating confusion. Goatees...bad news, man.

Cadaverous Pallor - (aka The Librarian aka Dewey Decimation) When the horned rimmed glasses come off and the bun in her hair comes down, it's bad news, brother. Cadaverous indeed... you being the cadaver.

innerSpaceman - (aka Moder-A-Torr) He'll lock you, man. He'll lock you.

There's more, but there's no time.

You've been scawarned, scaeagles. I'm just a friendly neighborhood double spy. I'm just not all that good at being hush-hush...

According to Yahoo Maps (http://maps.yahoo.com/dd_result?newaddr=&taddr=disneyland&csz=phoenix%2C+az&country=us&tcsz=anaheim%2C+ca&tcountry=us&terr=-3008) driving directions, the trip can be had in 5 hours. I say that if you can average 80 MPH, it can be done in 4-1/2.

However, I was very interested by Yahoo Maps directions. I know the route and steps 10-13 just confused the heck out of me. I know what they are trying to say, but this is just FUBAR:

8. Take exit #200A onto I-10 WEST toward LOS ANGELES - go 291.7 mi
9. Take the CA-60 exit toward RIVERSIDE - go 18.2 mi
10. Continue on I-215 NORTH - go 4.7 mi
11. Take the I-215 exit - go 0.6 mi
12. I-215 SOUTH becomes CA-91 WEST - go 22.5 mi
13. Take fork onto CA-91 EXPRESS LN toward 91 EXPRESS TOLL - go 8.3 mi
14. Take ramp onto CA-55 SOUTH - go 5.1 mi
15. Take the CA-22 WEST exit toward LONG BEACH - go 2.5 mi
16. Take the I-5 NORTH exit toward LOS ANGELES - go 3.5 mi
17. Take exit #110/HARBOR BLVD toward BALL RD - go 0.3 mi
18. Turn on S HARBOR BLVD - go 0.1 mi
19. Turn on W BALL RD - go 0.4 mi
20. Turn on S DISNEYLAND DR - go 0.3 mi
21. Arrive at [1309-1369] S DISNEYLAND DR, ANAHEIM

But, I'm glad I FINALLY came back to the LoT today, the day of the meet. Mr. S.C.A. And right now, he is desperately trying to come up with a way to explain to his wife why a bunch of people off of the internet would bring someone a toaster. :D

And if you see a picture with me and a corndog, Lisa must have photshopped it. I would never allow myself to be a part of such a degrading, immoral picture.

And katiesue, it was a pleasure to meet you. I hope you will show up for more meets. :)

It was quite shocking when he showed up - early. Smart man knew he'd catch us off-guard. :p

He then proceeded to act nothing like a newbie to a meet and was ripping into us and rolling his eyes as easily as the rest of us. The man is much more slick than he lets on.

I think my favorite moment was when Bornieo handed him his cellphone saying "call for you." I wish I had a photo of the look on scaeagles' face when he became the recipient of his first phone whore call. Thanks for popping his cherry, Matt ;)

I wish we had more time with him but he was wonderful in the time we had - sat still for a group photo, even, right behind MBC, where he belongs.

So, I've uploaded my pics. But, first you get the whole background story.

Leo first mentioned he was going to Disneyland in the thread WB started for her trip. (http://www.loungeoftomorrow.com/LoT/showpost.php?p=74082&postcount=13) He thought we wouldn't notice. I did notice and eventually started a thread about his impending doom, er, trip (this very thread). I told him we would find him but he claimed no one knew what he looked like (but he admitted he had posted a pic of himself on a previous thread (http://www.loungeoftomorrow.com/LoT/showpost.php?p=74689&postcount=7)).

I went searching for the thread and the link and, what do you know, it was still a working link! I found a pic of him and purchased a nice print for future evil doings. (I SWEAR Leo brings out the worst in me!) I was in the process of doing this when I get a PM from our dear Leo. It seems he was viewing who is online and saw that I was visiting the old thread with the link to pictures. I think this is when he really started to get a bit scared.

So, we have a thread about Leo's visit, the dates, but no meet. I decide it's time to make use of that photo. I post the pic with an explaination that the pic has been posed all over backstage at Disneyland and the CMs are on the lookout for him.

http://photos.xenarchy.com/albums/userpics/10001/normal_Page_1.jpg

Leo finially agrees to a meet and gives us a whole generous half and hour (but his family will not be meeting us!). The date is set and we all converge at the Disney Gallery for some fun.

Leo arrived early. There were about 4 of us relaxing in the courtyard when he walks in as if he owns the place. Pulls p a chiar and sits down. I knew it was him but he did take us by surprise for a second. Funny, but he knew who each of us was by site. Just WHO is the stalker here?

Mickey Lumbo and MBC were out smoking and returned shortly thereafter. The look on MBC's face when he realized his dream boat was sitting right in front of him was priceless and I'm sorry I didn't capture it on film.

Of course Leo got prizes. First, it was the picture I had purchased in a lovely Disneyland frame that ML had procured. We had all signed the back for him to remember us by. This pic captures that moment perfectly.

http://images1.snapfish.com/347337334%7Ffp344%3Enu%3D3233%3E73%3B%3E%3B%3B6%3E 232473%3B%3C%3A7593ot1lsi

He then was presented with his LoT Commemorative Small Apliances (a toaster/waffel iron salt and pepper set) by MBC.

I said above that Leo brings out the worst in me. I'm not kidding.

Leo's been very hush hush about the details of his trip. He did let us know what hotel he was staying in while we were at the meet but we really know little else about Leo and his family. So, when Leo announced that he had APs my evil side went into operation. I feigned disbelief until he actually showed me his AP at which time I noted his last name.

Now, I don't really care what Leo's last name is. I'm not gong to send him a toaster at his hotel of anything. But, I swear, he really brings out the sneaky evil Lisa. Too funny. And, I'm sure he's going to read this and be terrified all over again. I'm a bit scared myself. ;)

While we don't have regular Disneyland meets, when we DO have them, they usually end up being GREAT! (Remember the Pirates meet anyone?)

I'm so glad KatieSue, Madz, Gina and her kids joined us! It was great to meet you again - or however that works out.

After the meet, we rode Mansion with Jimmy Osmond then went to the Jazz Kitchen for dinner. I've decided Oyster Shooters are the best food on earth and pretty damn intoxiating! Dinner was great and dessert was amazing. Thanks for Zap for pulling the deal strings. What a bargain!

We went home after dinner - or, waddled back to our cars. I literally was so full I couldn't sit at my computer and had to lie prone with a book in bed. I need to be careful with the double chocolate bread pudding in the future. ;)

Good times. REALLY good times!

It was very heartless of Leo to refuse our Out-of-Towner Prime Fireworks offer (which is 50% for the vistor and 50% for us, but he is a real swell guy nonetheless).

A very fun, if brief, meet. And it should be known that it was none other than Evil Lisa who stopped Evil Me from sending flowers to the Scaeagles hotel room once we purloined the surname during one of Leo's rare moments of zero gile.

I have returned. Alive, surprisingly. I wasn't planning on being home until late tonight, but we were...well...vacationed out. Good trip, but time to come home, so we left mid morning instead of late afternoon.

I dare say....the hour or so I spent with you all was a definite highlight of my trip. I learned that NA isn't quite as scary as I thought (she talks so much she couldn't sneak up on anyone, so the stalking fear is gone now), ISM does not, in fact, have horns, and MBC does have enough restraint as to not jump me right there in the gallery.

I would have truly loved to have spent more time.

I am very glad I got there early. Better to meet three or four at once and then a couple at a time as they come in.

My toaster and waffle iron are in my office, though have not yet vbeen given the place of honor that they deserve. And wouldn't you know....somehow that Mickey Mouse picture was in front of the picture that was given to me in the frame - even before I got back to my family. I have no idea how that happened.:)

Morrigoon, I'd be rioght with you in the libertarian party should they ever find candidate for national office that wasn't a kook. OK, they've had a couple, but most are kooks.

Lisa, I figured you knew my last name before I got there, and am disappointed that you didn't. You had my picture, and from where you got the picture you knew the name of the school I coach at, and the school has a website, and the website has my name listed with the coaches.

I thank you all for your kindness and generousity - the gifts were funny, and kind, though certainly unnecessary. The offer of fireworks seating was also very nice, but we got great seats on the curb of the hub facing the castle at 7:00. Allowed the kids and wife to rest a bit, elder waughter and I rode Space Mountain with fast passes, ate ice cream, blah, blah, blah.

And Lisa.....I let you find me. So neener.

WB, I hope you are having fun....you're on your way now, right? Scrooge and Sac, I deeply regret that I was not able to meet you in person. KatieSue, so nice to have another newbie there. To all those who were unable to attend (Blueerica, S Maniac, CM, Jdr, and anyone else I left out), I hope to some day.

CP gets it. It is what I have envisioned since I first read one of his posts three years ago or so.

Would that be the very same shiny red suit that I showed up in once at your place ... and immediately had to change out of because .... ahem ... my package was simply alarming???

Lisa, I figured you knew my last name before I got there, and am disappointed that you didn't. You had my picture, and from where you got the picture you knew the name of the school I coach at, and the school has a website, and the website has my name listed with the coaches.

See, thats not NA, thats me.
If she had even winked in my general direction, I'd have been ALL OVER that.

I'm glad you enjoyed your trip, and am very sorry I wasnt able to make it. With the number of times that I havent taken what you said as the joke you meant it, or you thought I took it seriously, a face to face would have been nice!

I hope all the young ones had a nice time, and I am glad they went to the effort to find that cookie for your son. That extra step sometimes makes all the difference. Glad to have you back!!!

It was great meeting you Leo. It's nice to meet a right-wing wacko that can go 30 minutes without spewing something assinine ;)

Seriously, you have a great sense of humor and I wish you could have hung out with us longer. I think it's time you come clean to the wife about your affair with MBC, iSm and ML so you can hang out with us longer next time (with the wife and kids too).

Of course she did. I mean, now at least you can stop hiding the appliances and use them to cook her some fine breakfasts.

FYI, NA is recognizable from the top 2" of the back of her head peeking over a hedge. She's not sneaking up on anyone.

She's also recognizable by the top 2" of the front of her head--NA, where is that photo?

since gays "don't reproduce", homosexuals must recruit from the hetero population in order to increase the gay numbers. as incentive, gays are awarded appliances from Gay Committee Headquarters for every straight they recruit.

so, send MBC the appliances back.

If the music is Franz Ferdinand, I saw that presentation.

If the music is the Wishes soundtrack, I can see that anytime I want.
