That's totally me. I refuse to watch those movies and if I have to type an address with that sequence of numbers, you can bet I'll always add a space in between. I'm not sure if most Catholics are like that, but this one sure is!

I'll be joining one of my co-workers at THE OMEN tomorrow. She is particularly excited because she has a major crush on David Thewlis, and he is playing the David Warner role, that of Jennings, the news photographer who knows too much.

Assuming this remake follows the original as closely as it appears to be, she will get to witnessDavid Thewlis getting his head cut off by a flying sheet of plate glass. She cannot wait.

6/6, regardless of the year, to me has always represented beginning of the turning of the tide in WWII. 62 years ago today was D-day.

I never knew anyone involved in the invasion. I would suspect that if I had they would never have been interested in talking it. A bloody day, a day where countless numbers of young men, the first to hit the beach, knew that stepping out of their landing craft meant almost certain death.

To the families of those who paid that price that day and to any survivors of the invasion itself, I salute you and you have my eternal gratitude.

To placate Ally, I'll throw in a "Yes".:)

As to the Rapture, I'm sure that has been delayed. Something about Homeland Security wanting to check luggage and "sandals". ;)

I live just a stones throw away from a Christian school. The place still has it's full compliment of screaming young'uns in the playground. Had there been no sound from there at all, it may have raised my eyebrow a bit. Now, if the Rapture had occurred, the first thing I would like to do is see how many of the T.V. evangelists got left behind! I'm sure good ol Oral Roberts would still be here. God didn't call him home the first time, and I'm sure he / she has a very good reason not to call him up the next time too!:p

I have no intention of seeing the current reincarnation of "The Omen". I saw "The Exorcists" remake, and was thoroughly disappointed. For the most part, I've never been a real big fan of the horror flick. So the whole "6/6/06" bit is nothing but a yawn for me.

My song for today is going to be "Just Another Day" by Boingo. It just seems SO right for today!;) :snap:
