Yeah, THAT Paris trip. From october. Posted the photos from the first half of the trip, at DLRP, here (http://www.loungeoftomorrow.com/LoT/showthread.php?t=3191). Well, here finally are the second half of the photos, which cover our time actually in Paris.
Enjoy! (http://www.jenniegreg.com/ParisOctober2005/index.html)

Oh man - do those photos bring back memories! I need to brave international travel again and go back. Ooooh! I'm so jealous! (It's La Tour Eiffel, btw - not le.) Thanks for sharing! I love the metro. It might smell like pee, and the workers go on strike with regularity, but most of the time it gets you where you're going in a prompt and efficient manner.

Wow, it's been a while since I've seen these myself. I hope this inspires others to post old trip photos they never got around to before.
GD used a free download to make these pages quickly and easily.

Now you have no excuse! ;) except maybe the lack of server space...but how can you be on the net without some server space, somewhere?

This one from ornj.net isn't bad. Really simple and straight forward, thought I give it a shot. But I think I prefer the one I used for the Alaska trip (www.jalbum.com (http://www.jalbum.com)). The end result is MUCH more customizeable with that one.
Oh, and I know no French, especially not the definite articles. Obviously.

Ah, ok, i didn't realize you used two different programs.
Well that's an annoyance...if you title the photos, the program uses that title as the photo file names. Apparantly, some piece of the internet puzzle here doesn't like file names over a certain length, so some of the thumbnails aren't showing up. That's gonna be tedious to fix...

I've heard rave reviews about Gallery (http://gallery.menalto.com/), and is what I'll be using when I get my stuff up and running.

Fantastic photos! I'm not finished yet, but I had to pause since you're taking pics of one of my favorite eras in design, art nouveau (pre-deco). Hommage to nature in all forms, art nouveau was amazing and gorgeous (like the wonderful old Paris Metro station entrances). Okay, back to Paris for me! :D

It's so great to see Montmartre again. That was "our" neighborhood for an entire week and it became home. I know those shops! I'm ready to go back.

Oh, Pari' - I will try to get our Paris '04 pics up once report card season is over. Thanks for sharing your wonderful trip.

:snap: Mine, too! Approximately halfway between the Anvers and Barbes Rochechouart metro stations and about 4 blocks from the funiculaire
Thanks for those pics, GD!! Loved them!

Heh. I was more amused that I *did* know. Every so often I just "know" something in French and I don't know why. "Tour" doesn't end in "e" so I was trying to talk myself out of it being feminine, but my instinct was right.
And then I had to look it up - "tour" as, well, a tour is masculine - le Tour de France. "Tour" as tower is feminine. Weird!
Now you have a bit of snooty French knowledge suitable for driving people crazy at cocktail parties. :p
Seriously, though the photos were great! I'd totally forgotten about those flat-topped boats on the Seine. Were there a gob of pigeons at Notre Dame when you were there?

I'd totally forgotten about those flat-topped boats on the Seine. That one I know. Bateaux mouches. Fly boats.
Were there a gob of pigeons at Notre Dame when you were there? No, the season (late October) and our early jump on the day meant low pigeon population, as well as low tourist population.
