I'm driving back to work from picking up some grub and I saw a kitty carrier on the freeway overpass. It looked empty (it was open) but I couldn't stop. I'm calling the Irvine PD non emergency number so maybe they can check it out. How can people just dump a poor animal out on a busy street on a day that it's 97 degrees. And I'm sure it was dumped, it wasn't placed like it fell out of a car. :(

This makes me so angry and good for you for calling.

I fail to understand people who are cruel to animals, who dump animals. The lack of personal responsibility, the lack of caring, just makes me ill.

How can people be so cruel?
Easy: people suck. Thanks for going against human nature and caring enough to do something about it.

Well, when you consider that some people will literally throw their own newborn infants into a dumpster, I suppose it's not hard to see why others would dump a kitten under an overpass.

Yes, people do suck. It's a deeply disturbing subject to ruminate on.

I don't understand how people can be mean to animals or each other for that matter!
I guess that's why I feed so many cats at my house. People dump them or leave them behind when they move and they find their way to my house. I get them spayed/nuetered so we don't have any more unwanted pets and take care of them. If I can find them homes great, potherwise I care for them and love them.

Last week we had to rescue a tiny kitten from the storm drain. Boy was the City water crew thrilled with me that day! It took three hours and many different strategies but we got her out! She appears to be about 5 weeks old and we are raising her now. She even gets to go on vacation with us to Vancouver over the 4th. I can't leave her alone because she's still on a milk diet, plus my older cats would torment her!

Some people are just mean and stupid!

I was constantly bringing home stray and such as a kid- luckily my mom (who was psycho about nearly everything else) also loved animals and would let me keep them. One time when I was in college I came home late from a party and heard meowing from a tree in our yard. I discovered a kitten was stuck up there on a branch waaay too high for me to attempt sober, which I was not. I stayed up all night talking to it and as soon as the sun came up I climbed up and managed to grab the kitty without breaking my neck. That was Ninja Kitty #1, who was one of my favorite kitties in a lifetime of kittiness.:)

Good for you, BTD! I also will never understand how anyone could be cruel to animals or people, especially the babies.

There's a reason I have 6 cats. I didn't intend on having quite so many.

Lol!

Btw- I meant to tell you- Tori's Gramma bought her two new AG doll outfits last night. Those dolls have more clothing than the kid does....
