Surely there's more than 3 people on this board who would love this.

I'm crying it's so funny. Well worth waiting for it to load.

That's really funny! From the name of the thread, I was sure that you were going to link to Starlords (the site seems to be down). If someone out there has yet to see the ultimate LOTR/SW mashup, PM me and I'll stick a copy up for ya.

Okay, so I clicked the link at work sans-sound and got the basic gist before stopping it after a few seconds. But hot damn was that funny!

I talked about this earlier in the thread, so now here it is (http://mousepod.com/lot/StarLords_lrg.mov).
It's worth watching all the way through - even after you think you "get it".
Since the original hosting site is down, I'm guessing that someone had problems with it, so I'm only gonna keep it up for you guys and for the weekend. Please don't share the link outside the LoT.

By "watching", I'm assuming you are referring to images. Unfortunately, I'm only getting audio in both IE and Firefox. Any suggestions? I'm quite anxious to see this.

BTW- loved the Star Trek one. There were so many clips from episodes I hadn't seen in years! Great stuff. :)

It's a quicktime video. If your browsers don't have a qt plugin, you could try right-clicking and saving the file to your hard drive. It's about 38mb.

Cool, I'll try that. Normally, I don't have problems with Quicktime files, but then again, most of the time I probably download them before I watch them and just never noticed. :)

Kevy - I saw Troops back in the day - that's some old school stuff :)I figured everybody had at this point, but I wanted to make sure. It (to me) is one of the classics of the genre, very well done, and I believe that it landing the direcctor, Kevin Rubio, a job with ILM (though I am not sure on this - it may have just been a rumour).

I was going to post the same thing. :D You and Prudence beat me to it.

Hysterical video. I recognize a couple of eps, but I must admit I didn't really like the original series very much. Love TNG, though.

In any case, Troops really is the first Internet-based fanfilm phenom.
