Sadly, the gorgeous shots from Lincoln Park of the GG bridge are only in my head, not on the camera.

So pretty! What a great apartment building! I may have to come up again to see it in person! ;)

You're more than welcome! Give me another month to unpack!
You can meet Tango and no doubt we can get into trouble somehow!

If you come before 9/17 there is a Monet exhibit at the Legion of Honor

Awww...just when I was starting to think about thinking positively about my apartment hunt.

There is NOTHING in my area that could possibly be that awesome. And if there was, it would be condos.

now ask what the rent on one of those is. I think you'll feel better pretty quickly

:eek:I figured that would be tacky, since this is a public forum and I don't really know Snowflake.

But I'm sure it's much more than I'm currently paying. And I'm sure it's much more than I'll be paying when I find a new place, which will be much more than I'm paying now.

It's still way prettier than anything I've taken tours of lately.

Well, since my roomie and I originally moved in in 1987 and with blessed rent control, our ridiculously expensive apartment of 1987, is ridiculously cheap now!

We have a 2 bedroom, 2 bath, LR with fireplace (it needs repair and our crappy landlord won't pay for it, so we don't use it anymore), DR and small kitchen on the back side of the building (floor plan is less nice than the front apartments). 2 bedrooms on the Californis Street side rent for something like 4k a month! I cannot even grasp 4000 semolians a month for rent! INSANE, but they do get it from some. They'd love to get us out, for sure! God bless rent control!

Well, when we moved in in 1987 the rent was originally advertised at 1500, but it was a renters market then and they cut the rent to 1275. 19 years later with rent control, we're now paying 1786, so that is pretty damn good!

I don't mind your asking, it's a valid question.
