Well, now that you've seen the additions to POTC in Disneyland, Anahiem, what do you think of the announcement that Al Lutz stated that Disney will further the aduteration by adding a Will Turner and Elizabeth Swan to the ride to be premiered at the big red carpet for POTC III next May?

"The third movie premiere has already been slotted for Disneyland around the middle of May, and this time the refurbishment will add Kiera Knightly and Orlando Bloom animatronic figures (despite what some in Imagineering are saying otherwise)."

Al's full story here (http://www.miceage.com/allutz/al091206a.htm)

He first mentioned this 3 months ago.

I'm sure I won't like the additional changes but since few people have bothered to complain about the addition of Johnny Depp there's not much I can do but accept it.

One of the execs mentioned adding Kiera and Orlando AAs during the Pirates 2 premiere event, but many at Imagineering have been saying quite different things to that...

You thought she looked skinny at the red carpet, wait until you see her AA with nothing on! She's nothing but rods and wires!

So what? It's already got crap in it, why not add more crap? All I care about is whether the crap will go away eventually.

Still going through my pics and vids from the WDW trip. Here's my favorite new Disney audio-animatronic pirate (http://www.mousepod.com/lot/pirate.mov).

Well, since Pirates is being discussed, I finally got to ride it last week. From the mist screen onward I can't say as I care about any of the changes made. They don't really add or detract in any way.

Something seemed off about the front end before the mist screen but I'm not sure how. It seemed longer and emptier. Obviously, it isn't any longer.

I have to say, I don't really care what they do to this attraction any more. I still ride it, but I just don't care about it as much. Ot has lost it's luster for me.

My first thought was, where in the world would they put any more AAs? Like CP said, can they jam more crap in there? It's already so bloomin' full it may explode onto New Orleans Square!

mousepod, where was that pirate hawking the fill your own skull thingys located? Do they have a Pieces of Eight or world of Disney Store?

It's in the WoD store. I was the only customer in that area and the thing kept going off every couple of minutes. Surreal.

Why would TDA bother to remove it if people share your attitude of 'so what' ?

They put any more dolls in there and it's gonna be It's A Small Pirate World... ;)

Let's hope the AA Orlando Bloom can make more expressions than the real Orlando Bloom.

I'm wondering if the Keira Knightley AA will have her mouth open at all times like the real Keira Knightley...

I thought that pirate was on a loop, not motion-sensored. When I was in there, there were others shopping, and it paused.

I'm sure you're right. What I thought was surreal was the experience of this AA just having a conversation with nobody. Over and over again. But I guess that fits the 'drunken pirate' stereotype just fine...

There must've been a CM in that room. Ugh, can you imagine listening to that all day long? Probably not as bad as the BGM in the Gag Factory at DL, but still.

BackGround Music. Area music. In this case, sound effects. Repetitious, irritating sound effects.

Like the turnstiles at the DL gate...

Yeah, but at least those whistles are triggered by something. It's not on a neverending loop. I don't know if that makes it more or less annoying, but but the sounds the DL turnstiles make isn't BGM.

(Is that a WDW term? I'd hate to think I'm losing my double agent status.)

BGM.

I dunno, I thought it meant Bowel Good Movement.

So you got me on that one. And I even have the entire Main Street music loop on my computer (like about an hour's worth).

If they are to add any AA's it should be Davey Jones. And I ain't talkin' about that Monkee dude.

:DActually, that might help!;)

The problem with Davey Jones is where to put it. He would have to be on a ship (saying it always the year he could go on land would be hokey, especially since in the movie he was never on land). So putting him in the waterfall fixed that issue.

And so where to put the other two is issue enough.

So, I got stuck on Pirates last night for an hour at the base of the lift. Since I had a moment to think, while they evac'ed everone else but us and 1 boat behind us, I thought it would be neat to have the new AA's hanging from the roof of the burning area. Where the creeeeeking and hanging table are. Have them suspended above, he's holding onto her and she's dangling above the boat. (In a dress ((that's for Kevybaby))

Anyway, I got lots of pics of the Capt Jack and the other AA's when they shut them down. Jack stopped with his mouth open and eyes wide, just like Keira Knightley!!

Jack stopped with his mouth open and eyes wide, just like Keira Knightley!!ROTFLMAO!:D :D

You mean like this:

http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g310/rstar59/Kiera1.jpg

I took that at the Red Carpet Premiere at Disneyland. I got home and looked at it and though "Oh, I didn't know the Bride of Frankinstien was there!"

I thought it would be neat to have the new AA's hanging from the roof of the burning area. Where the creeeeeking and hanging table are. Have them suspended above, he's holding onto her and she's dangling above the boat.

I've thought about that too! But then I figure the way that room above looks, it would have been evacuated or the people would be dead. So it doesn't make since that anyone would be haning on for dear life there.

And then I also thought about how cool it woud be to spray a little liquid smoke into the air there. It wouldn't be that hard, and would realy help make it realistic. But then I realized that then the smell would travel through the whole ride whith air ventilation. Also, it might make it too intense and realistic for some people.

But, to be honest, she looked much better in person than that photo (though quite skinny). And she seems like a very nice person.

Just that I happened to take a very unflattering picture of a celeb.

How much do you think I could get for it from Entertainment tonight? ;)

There are a few AA pigs in there to blow up........

So they need to add a Norrington AA for the other part.......
