Wow, this lady can't handle someone knocking on her door bringing cookies?
But Wanita Renea Young, 49, said she was at her rural home south of Durango around 10:30 p.m. when she saw “shadowy figures” outside the house banging repeatedly on her door. She yelled, “Who’s there?” but no one answered, and the figures ran away.
The teens said they did not answer when the woman called out because they wanted the treats to be a surprise.

"I just hope the girls learned a lesson."
This lady deserves to get a flaming bag of dog poop on her porch next time.

“The victory wasn’t sweet,” Young said. “I’m not gloating about it. I just hope the girls learned a lesson.”
Yup. Those pesky girls shoulda gone to a dance and gotten wasted instead of trying to do a something nice.

That lady is evil. But you know who's even more evil? Those that made the girls pay 900 bucks to the evil lady.
Fvcking-A, the lawyers and courts are going to punish every good deed. :(

A couple developments. First off, a radio station raised the money for the girls to pay the medical bills, so they don't have to pay it. Secondly, the father of the horrible monsters guilty of bringing cookies to neighbors has had to get a restraining order of against the husband of the poor innocent little lady who is frightened to death of a knock on her door. Seems he's been making constant harrassing phone calls to the girls' house.

Wanita Young said, "This has turned into quite a fiasco. It's something that never should have happened and it's just devastating. My phone hasn't stopped ringing. My life has been threatened and I'll probably have to move out of town."
Well, I'm not as nice as her, because I will gloat if this comes to pass.
What a bitch.

Yep, it never should have happened. After you made such a big deal about it, the girls offered to pay your medical expenses but that still wasn't enough, was it? You had to drag them into court because you didn't think they felt enough guilt over the whole thing. And in the end you got nothing more. But the public did get a good look at just what a vindictive cow you actually are.
Sounds like justice was served to me.
PS Don't count on your new neighbors being ignorant of who you are.

They deserved it. That's what they get for being nice to people. Where do they think they are? Disneyland? Oy vey!
Unless their cookies were famously bad, then I support the plaintiff.

We should all head out to this lady's house with tons of cookie dough --- one bite for me, one bite for THE BITCH'S HOUSE! *SPLAT*
What a piece of work.

I saw an interview with the lady. Yes, this did get blown out of proportion. She talked about how the girls hid their car, climbed a couple of fences, and lurked around. Granted, she said they came to the back door, which is a little bit weird, but still.
We laughed when she claimed the girls damaged her steel door... huh? They're teenagers. What did she think they were knocking on her door with? A baseball bat? A hand is *not* going to damage her door. She claimed they did more than just knock, that it was a "BOOM" knock.
What's her husband doing harassing the girls? They showed up in court, did all the things they were supposed to, and the bitch got her cash. I can see the need for the girls to get the restraining order... Haven't they had enough hassle already? I feel bad for the kids.
We figured the girls should pay her $900 in pennies.
