HTHBellcaptain, you're ignorring SuperBowl Sunday. What are you going to do next? I'm going to Gatorland.
My parents and brothers want to go to Gatorland. I've never been, but I here it's a hoot. I know that's almost blasephemous for a Florida native to have never been to Gatorland, but I will correct that oversite tomorrow. I'll let ya know what it's like.

Picture of you with a gator. You'd better get one, or you're going to have to go back to Gatorland again.

Gator Golf is even more cool... well, it was until they got rid of Katanga

So, how was Gatorland?

It was a hoot. I had so much fun. It has a lot of roadside America charm. I especially liked the "Gator Jumparoo" show. They handfeed gators and crocs. They try to get them to jump out of the water to grab raw chickens out of their hands. The Gator Wrestling show was fun, too. It turns out that there are only a handful of employees who do everything there.
I discovered that part of Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom was shot at Gatorland.
Florida use to have a lot of little roadside America tourist traps when I was growing up. Once WDW moved in, many of these mom and pops places dried up. I'm very thankful that WDW moved in, but it is a shame that the tourist market wasn't able to support these icons of the past.
Fortunately, there are still a few of them holding on. I want to take FlippyShark and MacMatterhornFan to some of these. Gatorland will definately be on the list. I'd also like to get them to Weeki Wachi, Cypress Gardens, and Bok Tower. Heck, we've already visited Spongerama.
So, If you visit Down here sometime and you want a taste of old Florida or if you just want to see a lot a gators, then I highly recommend Gatorland.

I do believe MacFlippyshark wants to go to Cypress Gardens. But something tells me we'll be back at Spongearama before we get to CG. Just a hunch.
Everyone should know that HTHBatcaptain did NOT get a picture of himself and an alligator. I would even have given him my precious expired disposable camera that I got for free, but noooooooo. You get to sit on the gator next time, Batcaptain. :p

You get to sit on the gator next time, Batcaptain. :p
Only if you ride in it's mouth.

I think it would make a better picture if you held the gator up like you're holding Gneville in your avatar.

OK, but you still have to stick your head in the Aligator's mouth.

Can't. I'm not tall enough.

Maybe if the gator just crouched down a bit. Or, maybe, we got you a short one.

Follow the converstaion, NA! If HTH holds the gator up like he is the gnome in the avatar, I wouldn't be able to put my head in its mouth, on account of the gator's head being much higher than mine. HTH is a head taller than I.

MulletFan, Not Afraid has you on that on. You would still be able to stick your head the mouth of a gator being held in that position. Next excuse, please. :D

I'd rather have my picture taken with the puppy.

OK, but the puppy is half aligator. :D Actually, it's a Shelty, and it belongs to my Mom. He's really cute. He's a sweet little dog.

Make that puppy half alligator, half Sheltie, and half shark and you've got yourself a deal.
A deal on what, I don't know, but a deal nonetheless.

I like to peek in here once in a while, just to see how weird things are getting.
I'm seldom dissapointed.;)

Although, I do have to admit that even though this thread has wandered, we still seem to be talking about aligators. Even if they are mutant hybrids of reptiles, cainines, and big fish.
