I love this show.

It's hard to pick a favorite, as they are pretty much all fun. Mutilating Buster is always great, but if I had to pick three.....

Dynamite and the cement truck. The explosion was beyond cool.

Plants have feelings? When Torey is slapping the plant and thinking mean thoughts it's just hilarious.

Mind control. Again, Torey trying to control minds with the bike helmet and crystal slayed me.

I seem to like the ones that make me laugh, but there there are others where you really learn. Like the Chinese subterranean tunneling alert system. Cool.

I'd like to see a myth from Flagstaff AZ tested. Huge hang gliding place up there near the San Francisco peaks with masive thermal air flows. The myth is that a hnag glider caught one went up above 18000 feet, passed out from the thin air, glided 300 miles into New Mexico, and woke up after he dropped below a certain altitude. Sounds completely ridiculous, but it is a widely believed story in the community.

Naturally, I treasured the special Shark Week episode in which they tested the plausibility of events in the movie JAWS. I had long wanted to know what would really happen if you shot a tank of compressed air, and now I know.

Sounds completely ridiculous, but it is a widely believed story in the community.

If it was a hang glider, the glide ratio is about 15:1 (i.e. 15 feet forward for 1 foot of altitude loss), so from 18000 feet, it could glide about 50 miles (18000*15/5280).

If he flew due west from flagstaff, it's about 137 miles to the New Mexico border.

If it were a high performance glider, the glide ration would be between 40:1 or 60:1 which would give a glide range between 136 to 204 miles.

All of these calculations are for dead air, if the hang glider found any lift during that 50 miles, he might be able to extend his range, but 300 miles would mean he found an awful lot of good lift.

I'd say the 300 mile range is doubtful.

If the hang glider pilot got sucked into a thunderstorm, he could get up to 18000 feet, and he could pass out if he didn't have any oxygen, so that is possible, but there's also a good possibility of freezing to death without proper protection. If he survived that, I would imagine his first thoughts would be to head for terra firma, not to go for a distance record in New Mexico.

I think this story could be possible for a regular glider, but not a hanglider.

I want to see if HeadOn really works. I don't think it does.

My favorite would definitely have to be the elevetor of death. That was wicked awesome. Exploding cement mixer was damned cool too.

undoubtedly my favorite was the rocket powered chevy they ran by remote across the desert. I think it was the premier episode. I'd have paid money to be in the passenger side of that car. still would. :D

the shark and the exploding airtank I still think was tested incorrectly for numerous reasons. Jaws was on tv the other night and I popped in just as Roy was blasting away at the tank. I noted one or two things I didnt see taken into consideration during their tests...but thats half the fun of the show is debunking the debunkers. :p

the exploding cement truck was unbelieveable. hands down these two have the best job on the planet (IMO)

I want to see if HeadOn really works. I don't think it does.It does not. Homeopathy is one of the biggest (or minutest, depending on your perspective) forms of büllshït.

Even though Penn & Teller (http://www.sho.com/site/ptbs/) did a great exposé of Bunk Sway (what some people refer to as Feng Shui), it'd be nice to see Mythbusters tackle that because it would likely hit a broader audience. And while we're at it, let's do Astrology and Numerology too! It blows my mind that people actually put credence in that crap.

I don't know, normally I'd accept what you say but today Aquarius is in the 7th house and Jupiter is aligned with mars, so I think I'm going to pray to the spirit in the sky to guide me on a horse with no name up that stairway to heaven where I shall find truth.

Hey you have to believe in something. I choose classic rock.

That would be awesome. Or maybe it would be terrifying. Either way...at least we would know.

I would like them to determine how many licks it takes to get to the center of a Tootsie Roll Tootsie Pop.

That you shouldn't flash your lights at an oncoming car with its headlights off because it might be a gang initiation and they'll run you off the road and kill you.

That would make for some dramatic television if it is confirmed.

I'd like to see them do more mythbusting on Rollercoasters - I'm sick and tired of always hearing some f*cknut go "My sisters cousin got stuck upside down on <insert coaster name (that they never seem to get right) here>"

I liked that episode because it proved to my wife that I could not kill the family if I ate foods that I wanted that historically do not agree with me.

I loved the one where they jumped off buildings with umbrellas and such. The umbrella actually made them fall faster somehow. I'd like to see them mythbust free will. Or prove its existence.
