View Full Version : M&Ms game - 50 Dark Movies, Hidden in a Painting

I got this in an email, and my husband and I just got done playing this. It's a painting where there are hidden visual clues to the titles of 50 "dark" (not necessarily horror, in my opinion) movies. You click on the image where you think you know the answer. If the answer is correct, it will turn green and then disappear. If it's wrong, it'll turn red and then wait for another answer. The box to enter an answer will only pop up if you click on a spot that requires an answer. We had a lot of fun. Enjoy!

I found 25, which isn't bad considering I haven't seen many of the ones I found.

This is a wicked cool game! Even if it is really hard.

I can figure out about half of them...but on others, they're really very cryptic.

I finished it - in 13:33 seconds... but it was REALLY freakin' tough.

My references are too obscure - and mostly wrong.

For example:
Grim Reaper = Seventh Seal.

That's not the answer.

Dork.

It reminded me a LOT of stuff I used to see in Games Magazine waaaay back in the early 80s.

Very cool game, but it's not nearly as easy as I thought. I'll keep slogging away. It's making me feel really kinda dumb because I think I should probably see the more obvious ones right off the bat

The husband came up with the answer to that one. I don't know if I would have gotten it.

The "obvious" ones were the toughest for me in a couple of cases.

Some of them are really bad puns....

I've created a page so that you can look up only the answer(s) you want. Here's the link. (http://www.colddeadfish.net/m&mgameanswers.html)

I work for a company that does web content/design so this one was passed around when it came out-- so addictive! But I finally got all of them in 43 minutes or so. (Eventually got so I could type them in fast enough to make the high-scores for that day.)

Well, it took me a while, but I found all 50 in a time of just under 25 minutes. LOL!

I got really confused with one of them, because I thought one of them was a TV Show...little did I know that there was a movie of it too.

oooo thanks for that. It confirmed that I wasn't going to get the rest of them anyhow so I could move on with my life.

Dang! I came up with 39/50 on my own, and was totally surprised with the answers. Thanks for sharing this one!

We found the hardest to solve were:

Blue Velvet - never heard of it
Childs Play
The Grudge
12 monkeys - never heard of it
The [six] sixth [cents] sense *groan*
the [O - men] Omen *Double Groan*
We got all the others. :D

BAH! My post got eaten by the INTRAWEBZ cat from the other thread....

Anyhow, Yeah... I'm kinda shocked and stuff. Lash needs to see Blue Velvet. Oh, the post just isn't as good as it was 30 minutes ago when I meant to have it posted...

Yeah, they cheated. They used the name of the TV show rather than the actual full title of the movie.

OK, I'll bite... the Dead Zone ?

I think she means "Twin Peaks" - the movie name was "Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me (http://imdb.com/title/tt0105665/)"

that was fun. I got to 40 before I cheated. :D

Oh, right, I forgot that's a TV show too, but the TV show name is identical to the movie name, right?

And yes, I was referring to "Twin Peaks".
