On a whim, I decided to call about group sales for Wicked! this morning. It turns out we can order group tickets ahead of the regular sale date for tickets, which is April 3rd.

Here are the people I know for certain that will be going to see Wicked! on July 15th:

Since the date is on a weekend, we will not be able to get a group discount. What this does for us is it allows us to buy tickets in advance of the April 3rd sale date and it allows us to get seats together. Once I have the fax from BroadwayLA, I will have a better idea of pricing and deadlines for purchasing the tickets.

In order to go through Group Sales, we need to have 20 or more people willing to purchase tickets. My brother and his friends may want to join us too, if the price is right.

If you want to go with us on July 15th, and your name if not on the list, please let me know so I can you you to the list.

Oooh, that sounds fun to me! I'll just have to check to make sure there are no conflicts with work that day, which there shouldn't be!

That sounds like fun! (Though July 15th is the Friday before DLs bday). Yup. I'm a geek.

Sounds fun, but I think we're going to be spending some time with the inlaws in Tehachapi before DL's 50th and the beginning of our roadtrip to Boston.
:)
Have fun, y'all.

Which is why we're planning it for that week....many of us are coming in from out of town for the 17th and seeing Wicked is just icing on the cake! :)

I really wish I could! The budget part is bad enough, but my best friend is coming in from Texas to hang with us that weekend and I know it's totally out of her budget. I've already left her wandering around DTD alone once, can't do it to her again!

We are doing planning this specifically because so many of us who are Wicked! fans will be in town for DLs 50th. The date is pretty much set in stone because of that fact. :)

I did receive the fax, so I have more information. The ticket prices are $35, $57 or $87, depending on where you want to sit. The $35 seats are the last three rows of the mezzanine and the sides of the mezzanine. The good news is that the whole group does not have to purchase the same type of tickets in order for us to get a group of tickets. Example: We have 30 people total that want to come. Some people really want to go, but can only afford the $35 ticket, some want to sit as close as possible. We can buy 15 $89 tickets and 15 $35 tickets. :)

We will have to put down a deposit soon, once we know a round about number of people who want to come. Also, in order to increase our chances of getting the tickets for the date, since it is so specific, e have a better chance of getting tickets for that date if we do not sit our whole group together.

As I get more information, I will post it. We should try to get an idea on the number of people who want to come by the beginning of next week. We can always diminish the number of tickets we want, we cannot add.

Agreed. For those of you on the other boards, you know my dillema. Its the same weekend as Comic-Con, and as much as I adore being a Disney geek, my priorities are set. I must work Con.

Put the Gusmeister and I down for a pair of the $87 tix.

You should use PayPal to collect funds. It would ease the process and ensure you don't get burned. I would be happy to pay this way http://home.mindspring.com/~kevin_elder/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/stripper.gif

Something else to note about the group tickets...

We have a date that is 60 days after the ticket order for final payment. If I haven't received moeny for a ticket by the day before the final payment is due, then that ticket will not be ordered.

Is anyone else interested in getting tickets for Wicked? My brother has 8 people, including himself, and we are up to 10 people, including myself.

I am going to call on Monday to put in the initial order. We cannot add to the order once it is placed, but we can subtract from it once we make our final payment.

Add a +1 to my name and make us both tetnative (I'm volunteering someone who is out of the country at the moment). When does the payment have to be received by?

I tried to call, but no one answered, so I had to leave a message. I think we have to put a deposit down when the tickets are ordered, but I am not sure on that. I have added your +1. :)

Of course! My brother and his friends will be buying the $35 tickets, so you will not be alone. You should sit next to his friend Megan. She can tell you all about her experience with being in Throughly Modern Millie. :)

Thankya Big Big for wanting to join us, sai. ;)

Mamabot how much are the tickets?
The tickets are $35, $57, $89 and $127.50. The most expensive tickets are for the center orchestra rows B-M 100's only. I will post more about how much the seating sections cost this weekend when I am not under a deadline.

How about Zap & innerspaceman, Euromonkey & NA?
They have not yet spoken for themselves in this thread.
