So, Saddam's been sentenced to death.
I'm just actually wondering when the execution will take place...after probable appeals and fights in court, I have my doubts that it will happen for a few months at least.

I'm so jealous of the Iraqi's.
Why won't someone come and hang Cheney and Bush and Rumsfeld?
Kissinger still needs hangin', too.

Deleware, New Hampshire, and Washington all still have hanging as a method of execution.
I don't know about Deleware and New Hampshire but in Washington the condemned can choose between lethal injection and hanging and their choice has (or had, it's been a while) to be respected. This lead to a case of a guy choosing hanging and then eating himself to extreme obesity and then claiming they couldn't hang him because the risk of decapitation was inhumane. I don't know what happened with that.

Mitchell Rupe (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mitchell_Rupe) died of liver cancer earlier this year.

So really, the guy only bought himself an extra six or seven years. In prison. Big whoop.

I no longer believe in the death penalty. I don’t think it is a deterrent. I think the possibility of spending the rest of your life lockup with out your freedom is more of a deterrent.
