Tonight we noticed some stuff going on outside- our neighbor and her daughter who is a friend of my daughter were sitting outside in their truck- and there were police, fireman and lots of big trucks. Turns out her ex-boyfriend had a meth lab set up in the garage!

So- by the time they were done setting up there was a hazmat tent, guys looking like aliens in blue suits with air tanks, police everywhere- and a local news station. The cul-de-sac was blocked off by crime scene tape- I got a couple pictures before they told me not to take any- mmkay- whatever. Not sure why- I did not think I was doing anything wrong. Oh well-

Had cops and firemen and paramedics in the house because the neighbors used our house because they can't go into theirs-what a mess.

They have dogs- they dragged them out- poor babies were totally freaked out. They hosed them down because they had been near the chemicals- then, trying to be good neighbors, we let them bring the dogs into our house. Forgetting my cats  - all hell broke loose. Both dogs attacked one of our cats. Poor Sera was running away for all he was worth but they cornered him- both my sons body tackled the dogs and between the three of us we pulled the dogs off. All I registered was blood on the cat-

Luckily, or unluckily turns out it was my sons blood. One of the dogs bit his hand and Sera clawed him- that is why he was bleeding. We had put the dogs in the basement- where they promptly crapped on the floor. No good deed goes unpunished.

So- we put them in the backyard and one of them got out and went BACK into the garage and had to be washed AGAIN! Then they brought out the third dog and in the tussle to clean him they tore his mouth up and the poor baby was bleeding all over. Our neighbor put them both in the back of her pickup (in the cab)

I think they are wrapping up now- I'll be sure to watch the news tonight. Someone is coming to pick up our neighbors little girl for the night-and hopefully this will be the end of it. Animal control took a report because of the bite- but they know it was an accident so luckily he won't be in trouble.

OMG  A meth lab across the street from my house. OH MY GOD!

You're perfectly entitled to take any photos you want so long as you're not physically interfering and do it from property you are entitled to be on.

That is, after all, exactly what the news van is there to do.

(Of course, that doesn't mean the police won't inappropriately harrass you about it or worse, but they haven't the right to stop you.)

Oh well-I got enough to remember what it was like. I am going to tape the news tonight and see if I can catch the story. I took pictures from my yard, and also a couple from the street- that was when they stopped me. Oh well-

Thanks Alex.

They got it wrong- her daughters name is Cheyenne- not Chelsea- Chelsea is another little girl in the neighborhood.
