At least, according to Norway...

A Norwegian appeals court has ruled that striptease is an art form and should therefore be exempt from value-added tax (VAT).

The owners of the Diamond Go Go Bar in Oslo had refused to pay VAT of 25% on entry fees as tax authorities demanded.

What will they think up next?Hopefully a way to weed out the girls who just shouldn't doing it. The last time I went to a strip club*, the first girl we saw was about 5-6 months pregnant (there may be fetishists out there for whom that might be nice, but not what I want to see in a stripper**) and the last girl we saw had what I would describe as double breasts :eek: Ya know what a double chin looks like? Her boobs looked like that. Probably one of the worst boob jobs I've ever seen.


* It was about four years ago. It was for Susan's Aunt's fiance (now husband). My father-in-law was there. Kind of hard to get into things when your FIL is sitting two chairs over. Also, it was at the Flamingo Theatre (http://www.zbone.com/club/reviews/stripoc2.htm#Flamingo) on Ball Road, which I think is the closest strip club to Disneyland.

** I am NOT saying pregnant women aren't beautiful - actually, I think the opposite is true. It just is not what I wanted to see on a stripper (especially one who really didn't look like she wanted to be doing this).

I went to a club where a Go Go dancer in super tiny clothes was so pregnant that I was afraid all the dancing she was doing was going to shake the baby right out! haha

If anything it fascinated me. I kept watching her to see if she'd have the kid!
