Happy New Year to you too, Rob!!

I forget how far ahead you are! I guess if I left yesterday, I still wouldn't have mad it in time for the party due to the time difference.

So, if you leave there right now, will you get here yesterday? ;)

Or is it a two hour trip here, and a 22 hour trip back?? (I have never traveled abroad, so I no nothink!).

I'm glad your party, cocktails, cocktails, and cocktails were a hit!!

Happy new Year LoT!!

~Bob

Happy New Year to you, Lashbear!

Yes, the time difference confuses me. My friend who used to live in NYC moved to Sydney {or quite close} and yep, she probably already partied her little tushie off.

I will save more wishes for the locals until later....

We arrive Los Angeles March 15 at 6:00am

We might even wait at the airport for 4.5 hours to wave ourselves goodbye. :D

Except for a few atolls in the Pacific, isn't California the last civilized place on earth to usher in the new year?

If so, I'll be glad for the delay. I'm running late.

Alaska and Hawaii are both behind California and the rest of the West Coast on this side of the date line (and part of Alaska is on the other side so they are that state is technically the first and last to celebrate the New Year).

It was really kind of insulting to those areas in 2000 when all of the networks went into continuous coverage for the full 24 hours but then pretty much pooped out after the west coast.

3 hours.
Anchorage, as well as most other major Alaskan cities, is 1 hour behind, but, as Alex points out, Alaska is huge and extends all the way to the date line, so parts of it are further behind.

We just hit 2007 about 20 minutes ago on the Eastern Standard Time Zone.

For all you west coasters though (which is about 92% of you, I assume), have a swanky new year!

ahhhh- 10:31pm Mountain Standard Time- and we are kicking back at home in our jammies.

Foregoing the party we could have attended to stay home and relax. R worked all day and got home around 9pm- so we don't feel like going nowhere nohow.

We have cookies, candy, fudge and yummies to indulge in- games and movies- a warm house and each other to usher in the New Year. The bills are paid, there is food in the fridge, my family is safe and all is well. The holidays were good and I am excited about 2007.

I have good friends, some near, some far (though one who is very far will soon be near and I am excited about that!) and I have alot to look forward to. 2006 brought me wonderful new adventures and growth- and I can't wait to see what the New Year brings.

Happy New Year LoT- I happily look forward to another year in your company.

We watched Mr. Holland's Opus last night which, though kind of awful, was an apt choice for New Years's given its themes of the passage of time and how the real work of your life is not always what you hope or expect it will be.

We also watched a Carlos Mencia special, which was a good reminder of the need to be a ballsy MF from time to time.

Hope everyone has a ballsy and balanced 2007.

I was awake, but just barely. By 12:10 I was asleep. We had a power outage earlier today and hadn't reset any of the clocks so if it weren't for fireworks in the neighborhood we'd not have known when the magical moment had arrived.

We actually got to go out to a real, grown-up-like dinner at a very nice restaurant. Chicken Wellington in walnut puff pastry is just sooo much better than a chicken nuggets from McDonalds.:D

Happy New Year!!

I still have no voice (It was worth it for the reaction of the frightened parents in line for Casey Jr. and Gadget's Go Coaster), but got to ring in the New Year from the top of Space Mountain, AND got to ride my first coaster of 2007 just about 2 minutes later.

Happy New Year everyone!

Two years ago I spent the holiday in Bora Bora - and every hour a 'major' area was celebrating the new year, some of the staff would walk around blowing horns/etc. It was kind of fun! We were just about as late celebrating the new year as you could get.

I had neighbors (multiple groups) doing fireworks from about 6 pm until after 1 am, with a loud cacophony at midnight. Fortunately, I don't have to worry about my roof, though! (Yea for asbestos, even if it does cause horrid cell phone reception inside!)

Nice to meet you Sub! Nice pic. I love my shirt Santa gave me!

Happy New Year everyone! I spent the evening at the park with some great friends - 3rd run on ToT - great food at Blue Bayou - and Screaming in 2007 on Space Mountain. I wish I wouldn't have been so battered by the crowds to make it to the gathering.

I can't see how 07 could be any worse that 06, so a Happy New Year to all! I hope the year will be a great one for you!

I'm home. I'm alive, I think. We made it there just before midnight and were greeted with champagne and friendly faces. Then, the craziness ensued. Never did make it to breakfast, but fun party, great party.

 Here's to 2007, may the next 364 be as memorable as the first (yes, I do remember!) Happy New Year! :babette:

Went to my sister's apartment and hung with my parents, who were in town for the week. We decided to celebrate at 9pm, since it was midnight at their empty house - which was a good thing because by 9:30 my dad was asleep and we were fading fast. Got home and fell asleep before 11:00. Local rabble-rousers starting shooting off firecrackers at midnight, agitating our pack of chihuahuas and waking us up. "Happy New Year, Heather." "Happy New Year, Jesse." "Go back to sleep, puppies!"

Next year in Long Beach.

For me it was a quiet New Year celebration. A small shindig in town to ring in 2007. Good food, good people, it was very nice!

Looking forward to more LoT fun in 2007!

I went to your standard neighbourhood NYE party. It would have been a complete write off except for a group of Russians that showed up and had everyone doing vodka shots every 15 min.... That loosened things up a bit.

Spent New Years in the mountains with good friends. Celebrated at 9pm as we were tired, only to be shown up by my 3 year old daughter who stayed up until midnight by watching the Incredibles. Am I really that old?
