So I would like to stand up and cheer for the Retroland.com writers here on LoT. Flippyshark, Motorboat Cruiser, and blueerica have been breaking their backs (or, at least, the tips of their pencils) to write terrific content for the site update, which went live today. They've each written (at least) one Disney-themed entry in the new Places (http://www.retroland.com/pages/retropedia/places/) category, plus several other Food and School Daze entries. You should go and read their excellent work and give them mojo for a job well-done!
Yay, team!

Yum, applesauce, bacon and leatherwood honey.
It does look great, though, and I'm happy to be associated with such a talented bunch.

The site looks fantastic!
A shout-out to LSPoorEeyorick as well, not only for the wonderful editing under the gun, but for always being charming, helpful, and patient, even when stress levels were running high. It's truly been a pleasure. :)

Very nice job, everybody. I've been full of admiration since Yesterdayland, and my admiration grows.

Oh, I neglected to mention...
Special thanks to Erica for answering my stupid questions in Heidi's absence, and of course, a major shout out to Boss Radio for allowing me the wonderful opportunity to get my feet wet. And, of course, all of my fellow writers who I'm more than humbled to be working with.
There, that should about cover things. :)

OMG! It looks fantastic! The one and only reason I just could not (despite several rather valiant efforts) contribute was .....the horrid Seventies color scheme. (It was bad enough living through them). I have duly bookmarked the new and improved site- ty, LS!

Flippyshark, Motorboat Cruiser, and blueerica: Thank you for becoming the writers you were meant to be. Penny Dreadful, too.
And LSPoorEeyorick: THANK YOU for being a superbadass blackbelt no-nonsense ninja and making this happen. Without you, we'd still be at the crossroads of indecision and inefficiency.
You are all superstars.

I can't tell you how excited I am to have been a part of this. The site looks so good, is so much easier to navigate and be a part of. Kudos to all, indeed.
And bacon.

Thanks, everybody!
The writing staff is being humble, so I'll link to some fine specimens of their work, for those of you who are curious!
My favorite entry by MBC is his Mad Tea Party (http://www.retroland.com/pages/retropedia/places/item/6318/) entry, but his Pirates (http://www.retroland.com/pages/retropedia/places/item/6298/) and his Mansion (http://www.retroland.com/pages/retropedia/places/item/6319/) rock my socks with their thoroughness.
Flippy's masterful Splash Mountain (http://www.retroland.com/pages/retropedia/places/item/6302/) is worth reading, as is his Gatorland (http://www.retroland.com/pages/retropedia/places/item/6307/)... his Conversation Hearts (http://www.retroland.com/pages/retropedia/food/item/6353/), too.
And Erica... oh, Erica's Space Mountain (http://www.retroland.com/pages/retropedia/places/item/6299/) is swell, but seeing as she wrote about 80% of Food and School Daze single-handedly, you should check out Cracker Jack (http://www.retroland.com/pages/retropedia/food/item/6341/) or Macaroni and Cheese (http://www.retroland.com/pages/retropedia/food/item/6335/) or Prom (http://www.retroland.com/pages/retropedia/schooldaze/item/6374/).
The Boss-man himself wrote our overview on Disneyland (http://www.retroland.com/pages/retropedia/places/item/6296/), plus some other fun gems.

Looks great! Although whomever wrote the "Chicago" entry should be beaten with uncooked weiners. :p

Well, I'll likely be the one re-writing it... (I didn't write the original). Should I forward a copy onto you, first?

Meh - don't know when I'll be able to with so much new content coming out, but I'll put it tops on the re-writes. ;)
