BBC Poll re: US

I heard a piece on this today on NPR then came home and looked it up for further reading "pleasure". Not the best news, but I'm not surprised.

I find how the rest of the world views the US to be much more interesting than our own internal politics. I think a lot of my own interest has to do with both my love of international travel and because I have foreign relatives who always have interesting takes on US politics.

Eh, my response is the same: who the hell cares, other than at an academic level.

The "minority" always says it is important for the majority to listen to all sides and pay close attention to their voice. It happens internally (calls for "bipartisanship" tend to diminish as one gets closer to actual power) and it happens globally.

Meanwhile I have seen little indication that the rest of the world has much insight on how to run the world either.
