Now I'm singing "walking the corndog" to "rock the casbah". Yet another newcomer reduced to song parody in my mind.

Err....welcome and stuff.

If any one here would need a corndog walked, it's Flippyshark, though I'm sure he eats his before they'd ever need an outing.

HEY KIDS,

THANKS FOR THE WARM WELCOME! I JUST WANTED TO FORMALLY INTRODUCE MYSELF. I LIVE IN EAST WEST HOLLYWOOD, I AM A DOGWALKING HYPNOTHERAPIST WHO ROLLERSKATES AND READS COMIC BOOKS (GIVE ME A DISNEY GIFT CARD, AND I WILL DO IT ALL AT THE SAME TIME)

LOOKING FOR FUN TIMES ON MAIN STREET!!! AND FOR ANY GENTLE CHESS INSTRUCTORS!!!

(DID YOU KNOW THAT NATIONAL CORNDOG DAY IS IN MARCH???)

innerSpaceman
01-30-2007, 08:31 AM
Wait, what is a dogwalking hypnotherapist?

Do you hypnotize dogs into walking on their hind legs? Can you stop them from sniffing other dogs' butts with post-hyp suggestions? Please clarify.

thecorndogwalker
01-30-2007, 08:36 AM
I have had a dogwalking/pet sitting biz for a couple of years.. just working by myself.... then 2 years ago went to school to become a hypnotherapist.. so still walking some dogs.. but now have an office that i see clients for hypnotherapy... so i dont make them bark like dogs.. one has nothing to do with the other..

however there are ways to put animals into a hypnotic state..

innerSpaceman
01-30-2007, 08:52 AM
Ah, but can you induce animal states in humans?

thecorndogwalker
01-30-2007, 08:59 AM
absoultely... its fun!!! ( i can make people forget to unlock back doors, car doors, forget boxes in the back of trucks, smile obsessively....) just ask the commodore....

but next time i make an group apperance.. i will perform a hypnotic state in a willing participant....

I once had Ursula the Sea-Witch hypnotize me. It was so cool. All subsequent attempts have been, um, less successful.

I'd be a very willing participant. :iSm:

thecorndogwalker
01-30-2007, 10:37 AM
well i usually dont do hypnotist kind of stuff ( although I know)meaning all the stagey kind of theatrics... I was trained in hypnotherapy which is more on the theraputic side...

however almost everyone can be hypnotized.. its just the matter of the hypnotherapist finding out how they take in information.. (i.e. infered or literal) plus just like everything else there is mostly plain participation in it..

its alot of fun... i do past life regressions on people...

Prudence
01-30-2007, 10:42 AM
Oooh! I want to find out if my husband really was a ruthless dictator in a past life like he claims!

thecorndogwalker
01-30-2007, 10:45 AM
cool beans...

i come for the belief that most souls end up traveling in groups.. so most of the time a connection is made.. so you might have known the ruthless dictator yourself....

Gemini Cricket
01-30-2007, 10:45 AM
I had a couple of psychics tell me that I've been here quite a few times already. Old soul and all that stuff. One told me this was my last time around. (Cue the Twilight Zone music. :D) I don't know if I believe all that, but it's kinda fun to think about.
:)

thecorndogwalker
01-30-2007, 10:50 AM
(twilight zone music continues) ....

well yeah i usually tell people to just have an open mind.. and just let the process happen.. my Past Life Regression (PLR) teacher told us all these really spooky stories about people talking different languages during hypnosis or one girl spoke in a man's voice during a regression...
sometimes when i do regressions the hair on my arms stand up.. its kind of weird...
but i just really believe it.. so i guess it helps when i help another person tap into their past life...

Prudence
01-30-2007, 10:52 AM
I apparently have a nifty keen natal chart, but I've never sensed any past lives.

Although I do get lots of deja vu moments.

thecorndogwalker
01-30-2007, 10:55 AM
yeah i do workshops on PLR... and i usually ask people whether or not they identify with a certain time period, or if they ever met anyone that they felt so strong about (neg or pos) or if they ever been somewhere and felt they have been there before.. its something in the superconsiousness that comes back to our current life..

our soul/mind is like a computer it stores so much.... all it takes to tap into the certain folder.. so to speak...

Fascinating stuff! My dad used to do past life regression when I was young. I enjoyed working with his group, but it scared the crap out of my mom!

Dude! No joke, I've had weird experiences where I've "recalled" things in the 1960s (about 5 years before I was born).
Like the time I went to the Whiskey with a friend, and suddenly started rambling about "Remember when we got fired from here?"

thecorndogwalker
01-30-2007, 05:05 PM
i am probably going to do a thread on past life regressions and i maybe on the next outing.. i will do a group Past Life Regression if everyone wants.. but we would have to be somewhere quiet!!! i am sure alot of people will have their own stories...

Actually, what I said was, I'd like to sit on the sidelines and watch while he hypnotized all of you. I'm pretty sure it would be some of the funniest stuff I'd ever see.

Except for the Bornieo/Hitler thing.

No bloody wonder, it's 10:40pm here in Australia.

Welcome from Sydney, and I can't wait to meet you in March when Lashstoat & I come over.

Hugs,
Rob.

PS: Greg used to work for a Clinical Hypnotherapist and he is very adamant it works. He's seen the results in heaps of people.

I tried it for my smoking but it didn't work that time. I don't think I was really ready to give up at that stage.
