I just pre-ordered Harry Potter gives JK Rowling another billion dollars.

I'm just a weenie, not even a bacon wrapped corn dog, just a weenie.

I'm never good at waiting for shipping, even if they say it'll arrive on it's release date. I will mosey over to Costco on release day and pick it up. They haven't ever run out on me before.

I can't wait for the mail either. I have to run out as soon as I get up and Costco's just down the street.

But Amazon delivers on the day of release, where's the wait?

I worry that it won't work out I guess. The mail gets here before I'd be off that day too...hmm.

If you think that's bad, Audra and I go to a Barnes & Noble midnight release party and this will be our third in a row!

I plan on going to a midnight release but then I'm too much of a weenie to get out of my nice warm comfy bed to go. Then I end up at Costco.

Hey, you aren't alone. Us Bitter East Coasters have been known to do the same. Last time around, we waited in an extraordinarily nerdy line at the Virgin Megastore.

I was interested to learn how much the publisher is dependent on the book - the announcement caused their stock to shoot up. If this really is the last book perhaps people should be selling.

Potter Midnight Release parties are fun. I couldn't do one the last time, because the frelling thing was released on Disneyland's Birthday weekend. But this time, it's a week later ... and it should be a hoot, with it being the last book and all.

I hated the last one, so I'm kinda meh about the final book. When's the next movie coming out ... that's what I wanna know.

OMG, that will put Disneyland Birthday smack dab in the middle of Mega-PotterMania! Movie premier, Disneyland's First Non-50th in a while, then Book premier!! Oh my!

And NA should have surrepticiously-snapped pictures of naked Harry Potter on her cellphone!

That's the way it was last time, remember? Wicked, book release, DL birthday, all same weekend.

I think the Boy pre-ordered ours. Hopefully at a location with a good release party (yes, you can and SHOULD pre-order to take part in a book release party) One last time to break out the robes. Well, except for the movies ;)

Good lord, that was quite the day. I had to be at the airport by 5:00 a.m., so I had to wait to get my copy at Seatac. Then, I read 1/2 of the book on the way there, and put it away until the flight home. The whole birthday thing is just a blur- I know it was fun, but everything went by so fast I hardly remember any of it.

I head down to the local Stater Bros first thing in the morning. Right around the corner. First time they were out on a table - last year (was it last year or year before?) I simply asked. I think they were even on sale. Grocery store of all places.

Oh, yeah.....cupcakes.....which were okay in the A.M., but got kind of nasty tasting as the day progressed.

Oh, and let us not forget: the mighty jumbotronic screens everywhere, made especially to make the Governator look bigger than he is in real life.
