Do any of you ever have those days, when you decide to be completely irresponsible, yet end up being completely productive?

---
Today is that for me. I usually roll into the office around 9:30ish or so (thats just my industry, i can do that becuase i usually work late) however today, inspired by our late night of cleaning out the closets and dressers, coupled with my growing to do list, I called my boss, fibbed a little, told him I was not feeling well, and asked if he cared if I worked from home and took a half day sick (i have over 70 sick hours accrued)

So, with that being said, I am going to get the few things done that I need to do, like timesheets, work orders, and a few phone calls, for work, then I am going to take care of a bunch of things off my todo list..... *crossesfingers* as well as deliver soem flowers to Erin for Valentines day.....

So, here is to being productive!

I'm responsible, yet unproductive. A lot of times I feel like I'm running in circles. My husband is the irresponsible, yet productive one. He telecommutes 18 days out of 20. He works and plays at the same time and manages to get everything done.

Taking a sick day to get your home stuff done is awesome. :) Monday is my half day - I'll be home at 12:30. I try to make it my productive day at home but it is soooo hard. Today I'm especially worried because I only got 4.5 hours of sleep last night. :( Definitely need a nap before any productivity can happen. I'm falling asleep at work right now.

 <--this guy is too high energy for my current state, but I'm still kinda mad. :p

oye, i have been so productive today, its not even funny, and its only 2pm.

started at 11 -

stopped at my eye doctor to check on my contacts
dropped off clothes at GoodWill
returned a defective toolbox to Sears
Stopped at the store, got flowers and a balloon for Erin and delivered them
Dropped off my tax information to my CPA
Delivered the title from Erins old civic to the mazda dealership where we got her new car
Came back towards home, got gas in the car
dropped off 2 pairs of pants at the tailor
in cleaning out my car, found an old paycheck (11/04) i had not cashed
so swung by the bank, deposited paycheck
dropped by moms work to drop off 2 shirts for my dad

and with that, i am back home at 2:08pm.... to do list to be updated soon!

^^^ You make me sick!! ^^^ ;) :p

Could I hire you as my personal assistant???

I had good intentions as I was getting some things done. I was planning on heading out again, but now it is pouring rain and cold. My Valentine Day's outfit is not conducive to cold, wet weather. Presently, I am sitting it out. But I guess I will eventually need to change into warmer clothes, coat and rain boots.

I took a "sick" day a few weeks back. I turned down some un-appealing substitute jobs, thinking something better would come along....and it never did. I took Chloe to the nanny and got bizzay on auction stuff, paid bills, cleaned the house from top-to-bottom. It was awesome! I paid about $60 in childcare that day between Chloe and Cassidy's afterschool care.....but oh well. Got tons done!!!

Those days are great and the memory of your productivity lasts! It's such a great feeling!

woohoo, knocked some more stuff off my list last night..

Got the oil changed and the radiator flushed in my car
picked up some brakcets for some shelving in the attic while waiting for my car to be done
Ended up buying a new vaccuum with the gift card i got for returning the toolbox
Got the paperwork in my room filed away
Was able to start organizing our game/linen closet.

All of that, and was able to have a good homemade dinner with my wife, watch a movie and enjoy a bottle of wine!

Today's a half irresponsible day. I subbed a half-day, and this afternoon I have four hours to reply to freaking auction emails and make a hundred or so phone calls for auction items.....out of a hundred calls, I usually get about twenty items, with an average value of a hundred dollars.....so two thousand dollars is my goal today. Ugh. Plus I'm doing a neighborhood canvas with letters and donation forms. Theyr'e going to run when they see me in the future.

Ahh Claire! I feel your pain!

There is nothing I think I despise doing more than raising money! I just suck at it!

I hate overly productive days....just beacuse at the end of them...when I'm so satisfied that I've gotten so much done...I'm always wondering why I can't seem to do it everyday!

Yesterday productive...today...not so much! :(

Employer enforced responsible, yet unproductive day for me. Had to go to some "training" from one of our partners. Of course, the "training" was really marketing. Got a small bit of useful information, but mostly we got free breakfast, coffee, a nice pen and a pad of paper. Excellent way to waste a morning.
