Okay, I fell in love with the photos NA recently posted. I finished my taxes and unless I screwed it up a second time, I've got a refund coming on the 27th or thereabouts. :D

So, I plan on using said refund for (1) a new bed and (2) a new digital camera. Best Buy has this puppy (http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=7994058&type=product&productCategoryId=pcmcat99000050010&id=1155070315284) on sale now. Hope it lasts or comes up on sale again soon when I have the moola to play with.

Yes, I do deserve it! :p

Yes, you do.

What changed in your taxes to go from a huge bill to a refund?

Looks like an extra digit somewhere. In any case, I'm not counting any chickens until the refund is hatched

I've bought tons of digital camera's for work... but only one Canon. It just didn't take as nice of a picture as the Pentax's I'd been buying. Since then I've bought 2 kodaks and still prefer the Pentax's. Metal case. Crisp photos both indoors and out. Easy to use.

In slightly overcast light it's fan-freaking-tastic. In low light? Bleh.

I'm hoping that my next digital camera is an SLR.

Well, it was your pics that did it for me!

Yay! Franchise Tax Board of CA authorized my refund on Valentine's Day. Not in the account yet, but I think I might be able to take advantage of the President's Day Sale at Best Buy on Monday. :D

This will give me time to play with it before the April Lashbear meat.

I'd love an SLR, $400 I can justify, 800-1000, I can't, but I am green with lust and envy for those that have them!

May I introduce you to the Pentax *ist (http://www.cameraaddict.com/product.asp?id=pnistdl2kit&itemname=Pentax%20ist-DL,%206.1%20Megapixel,%20SLR,%20Digital%20Camera%2 0w/%20Pentax%20Zoom%2018-55mm%20f/3.5-5.6%20AL%20Autofocus%20Lens%20Kit&discontinued=1) series of SLR's? They're entry-level, so they lack some of the more advanced features, but every review I've seen says they are fantastic for the price (usually $400-$500).

That's been the case for every camera I've bought. Outside in the shade is also fine. Pentax still performs better then the others IMO. Although I do also like the kodak dual lense also. I can take really wide shots without standing 100 feet back.

I was disappointed by the Pentax in that area. In all others, it's wonderful.
