Alright... I did better than I thought I would. I got:
Algeria
Angola
Botswana
Chad
Egypt
Ethiopia
Ghana
Guinea (For some reason I had a hard time spelling this one)
Ivory Coast (Lucky Guess)
Kenya
Liberia
Libya (it helped that I watched Back to the Future the other night)
Madagascar
Morocco
Mozambique
Namibia
Nigeria
Niger (the main reason I got this one was because it automatically popped up when I was typing "Nigeria")
Rwanda
Somalia
South Africa
Sudan
Swaziland
Tanzania
Uganda
Zimbabwe
But I missed:
Benin
Burkina Faso
Burundi
Cameroon
Cape Verde,
Central African Republic
Comoros
Republic of the Congo (I tried "Congo" but it wouldn't accept that)
Democratic Republic of the Congo
Djibouti
Equatorial Guinea
Eritrea
Gabon
The Gambia
Guinea-Bissau
Lesotho
Malawi
Mali
Mauritania
Mauritius
Sao Tome and Principe
Senegal
Seychelles
Sierra Leone
Togo (isn't this a sandwich place?)
Tunisia
Zambia (I was close on this one - I typed it as "Zamibia")
I'm still mad a Babette though.

Kevy kicked my ass. I was intrigued to see how many I knew.
Algeria, Chad, Egypt, Ethiopia, Liberia,
Madagascar, Mali (I had a coworker who worked with the Peace Corp there), Morocco, Mozambique, South Africa,
Sudan, Swaziland, Zimbabwe.
Yes, I forgot Rwanda, Nigeria, Somalia....seems I should watch more news.

Time spent waiting in Coffee shops (either in line or waiting for the product) helped a LoT.

We did a joint effort and got 32:
Algeria, Botswana, Burundi, Cape Verde, Chad, Egypt,
Eritrea, Ethiopia, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Kenya,
Liberia, Libya, Madagascar, Mauritania, Mauritius, Morocco,
Namibia, Nigeria, Niger, Rwanda, Senegal, Somalia, South Africa, Sudan, Swaziland, Tanzania, Togo, Tunisia, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe,
Missed 21:
Angola, Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon,
Central African Republic, Comoros, Republic of the Congo, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Djibouti,
Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, The Gambia, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau,
Lesotho, Malawi, Mali, Mozambique,
Sao Tome and Principe, Seychelles, Sierra Leone,
The big time killer for us was the spelling. Music knowledge helped a LOT!

I actually did pretty well, and was shocked at a couple that I missed. I've been blessed with Peace Corps friends that have sent me post cards throughout various tours, etc... Other, I just knew from knowing.
I got: Algeria, Angola, Botswana, Burundi, Cape Verde,
Chad, Djibouti, Egypt, Ethiopia, Ghana,
Guinea, Kenya, Liberia, Libya, Madagascar,
Malawi, Mali, Morocco, Mozambique, Namibia,
Niger, Nigeria, Rwanda, Seychelles, Sierra Leone,
Somalia, South Africa, Sudan, Swaziland, Togo,
Tunisia, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe,
I forgot:
Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Comoros,
Republic of the Congo, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Gabon,
The Gambia, Guinea-Bissau, Ivory Coast, Lesotho, Mauritania,
Mauritius, Sao Tome and Principe, Senegal, Tanzania,
Senegal and Tanzania - doh! I should have had those - and Congo - I thought that was just Congo. Wasted the last few minutes trying to get it to work by just typing Congo... heh

Lol!!! First thing I thought was "Crap! I can't even finish the map of the country where I live, and doesn't Africa change like every three weeks? Same goes for the former Soviet satellite countries.

I suppose the next logical question is Name all 10 Canadian provinces and three territories. Now, THOSE I can score perfect on! :D
But, since we're talking about Africa, I got about half of them. ;)

What's frustrating is that at one time I knew all of these, and their capital cities, and their major geographical features. Oh well.
I spent a lot of time wondering why "cote d'ivoire" didn't take.

Not even going to try. I do like the Animaniacs song (http://www.cs.cmu.edu/afs/cs.cmu.edu/user/clamen/misc/tv/Animaniacs/Nations.html) for the countries of the world though. It might be dated by now however.
United States, Panama, Mexico, Canada...
