The issue has been resolved by time. I could not find an answer to this issue on Google - lots of other issues that result in the same message, but not this issue.
I have a user who was trying to access our Address Book via Outlook. When clicking on the icon she received this message "The messaging interface has returned an unknown error. If the problem persists, restart Outlook." Outlook was restarted multiple times over the past week. For some reason, today, the issue is no longer occurring.
Google and the MS knowledge base gave me resolutions for many different issues that result in this message. We repaired (but did not reinstall) MS Office.
Has anyone else experienced this issue and found a resolution? These "restart and it's fixed" issues can get under my skin.
