Okay, not terribly swanky, but more picturesque than 101 South in the car.

Caltrain Station 4th and King Street in SF, just bought my ticket and looking toward the track. Notice how bustling it is for the #206 at 6:11.

Track #4 for me (you just can't see the placard)
http://www.geocities.com/~rudyfan/trip-2b.jpg
Train #206
http://www.geocities.com/~rudyfan/trip-2a.jpg
I've got the car to myself, at 6am, are you surprised?
http://www.geocities.com/~rudyfan/trip-3.jpg
Arriving at San Carlos Station, nothing to photograph on the way, for 23 miles it's dark outside!
http://www.geocities.com/~rudyfan/trip-4.jpg
Still having trouble with the new camera, this was the clearest of 4 shots! Still cannot read the elevation.
http://www.geocities.com/~rudyfan/trip-5.jpg
San Carlos Station, 6:45 am, if I had time, I'd stick around for breakfast, they have a great review.
http://www.geocities.com/~rudyfan/trip-6.jpg
On the way to the office, my office mate Guy picked me up, we're down the street from these guys.
http://www.geocities.com/~rudyfan/trip-7.jpg
Sigh, another day, another dollar, we're on the top floor.
http://www.geocities.com/~rudyfan/trip-8.jpg
That white is car is where I'd normally park (butthead).
http://www.geocities.com/~rudyfan/trip-9.jpg
I thought' I'd stroll out at lunchtime, this is (not surprisingly) the backside of our building.
http://www.geocities.com/~rudyfan/trip-10.jpg
We've got several pathways to walk in our complex, and if I'd have ventured further, loads of spots with large bodies of water. I was content to stick close by, we've got a cool meditation walk, but unfortunately on this day, there were workman all over that area.
http://www.geocities.com/~rudyfan/trip-11.jpg
We also share the space with loads of geese, watch where you're walking! This guy kept a watchful eye on me.
http://www.geocities.com/~rudyfan/trip-12.jpg
Lots of geese, these are but a few. Many ducks too, but sometimes you really have to dodge all the goose poop on the sidewalks
http://www.geocities.com/~rudyfan/trip-13.jpg
Sunning in a nice spot. No swans for NA, I'm afraid.
http://www.geocities.com/~rudyfan/trip-14.jpg
The sideways side of the building.
http://www.geocities.com/~rudyfan/trip-15.jpg
Down among the sheltering palms.
I've spared you photos from the inside of my office, ick.
http://www.geocities.com/~rudyfan/trip-16.jpg
Backside of the San Carlos Station, ready to head for home.
http://www.geocities.com/~rudyfan/trip-17.jpg
Good to know I'm on the right platform!
http://www.geocities.com/~rudyfan/trip-18.jpg
Incoming train, heading South to San Jose.
http://www.geocities.com/~rudyfan/trip-19a.jpg
Approaching Burlingame Station. Not all of the old stations exist, but this one is really pretty, even through the filthy window of the train.
http://www.geocities.com/~rudyfan/trip-19.jpg
Burlingame Station
http://www.geocities.com/~rudyfan/trip-20.jpg
The old Milbrae Station has been replaced since the BART station also connects there. But they saved the old station and a vintage car, too.
http://www.geocities.com/~rudyfan/trip-21.jpg
Expressed past San Bruno and look, up on that hill, South City.
My shots of the Cow Palace and the bay, just did not turn out, lots of misc track shots, too boring and no interesting grafitti.
http://www.geocities.com/~rudyfan/trip-23.jpg
So here we are, nearly back at the station at 4th and King Street. Right now, we're running parallel to Third Street and this is Baker & Hamilton, since 1849!
http://www.geocities.com/~rudyfan/trip-25.jpg
This is an old Federal Rail Car on the siding, why it's there, I can't tell you.
http://www.geocities.com/~rudyfan/trip-26.jpg
A couple of trains, waiting on the side.
So, most of my shots on MUNI after detraining were crap, but, I boarded the N-Judah, and headed for the Financial District to transfer to the 1 California Bus to get me home.
http://www.geocities.com/~rudyfan/trip-28.jpg
Apologies to the Dodger fans on the LoT, AT&T Park, home of the SF Giants.
Shortly, we turn on to the Embarcadero, great view of the Bay Bridge, except where I was sitting on the train...naturally. Then I missed a great shot of one of the Fireboats, dammit.
http://www.geocities.com/~rudyfan/trip-29.jpg
Here's Pier 38 along the waterfront.
Soon, back underground and at my stop, Embarcadero Station.
http://www.geocities.com/~rudyfan/trip-30.jpg
Walking across Market Street to head for the bus stop, I could not resist a shot on the fly of the Ferry Building.
Quick jaunt on the 1 California and I'm home for the day.
The End!
