Just grabbed this guy's Illinoise albume on iTunes. The music is melodic, the lyrics meander, the songs are long and there are tons of them...and I dig it.

I don't know why I have a knee-jerk reaction to his wear-it-on-his-sleeve religious faith. I just do. It makes it hard for me to love his music.

I love some of Sufjan. The Christian thing really annoys me though.
