HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ONE OF THE FOUNDERS OF THE BITTER EAST COASTERS!
I object! You can't live in Florida a stones throw from WDW and rightfully call yourself a "Bitter east coaster". I think the best we can do is "Slightly disgruntled east coaster".
Oh what the hell, it's your birthday.... Have a great day you bitter east coaster!

Happy birthday to the only other person I know who thinks it not at all strange to discuss the merits of specific Beowulf translations while shopping in the China pavilion. May all your students ask insightful questions and use proper punctuation!

There is truth to that statement... But we on the West Coast like to think they might be a bitter to be so far away from US... Parks, second. ;) Or at least that's how I've always read into it.
Happy Birthday MatterhornFan! May it be tons of fun!

Thanks everyone! For my birthday I will be going back to work in, oh, about 13 minutes.
But then I'll celebrate somehow over the weekend.
I'll get back online later tonight or tomorrow to explain the origin of the term "Bitter East Coasters."

Happy Birthday! We'll have to do something on Friday the 13th to celebrate.
I like to think of myself as a bittersweet East Coaster, particularly if it's bittersweet chocolate.

Oh good! I was one, once......So you know how it is.
The term "Bitter East Coasters" came about when I was living in the northeast and it was snowing and I wasn't at Disneyland. Somehow my imaginary MouseAdventure team got named the Bitter East Coasters. I believe my other teammates were Flippyshark, HTHBellcaptain, and Lashbear (who's on the east coast of a different country).
I guess now I'm more of a regular East Coaster. I certainly use coasters. I guess I'm more of a "Finally Warm Person Who's Happy in Florida but Wouldn't Mind a Trip to Disneyland--Just Not at Christmastime."
But that's too hard to remember and it's a fuss to capitalize it correctly.
And oh, yeah, I did participate in MouseAdventure once. I probably won't do it again.
So anyway, thanks for the birthday wishes! I guess I'll have a spooky Friday the 13th celebration of some sort.

So I forget does that make you a type 1 or type 2 (http://www.loungeoftomorrow.com/LoT/showthread.php?t=3663) bitter east coaster? (Start reading from about post #8 but please stop before you get to post #25 where I embarrasses myself once again....)
