This is bizarre and a bit disturbing. It's video of a pelican swallowing a live pigeon whole (http://www.thatvideosite.com/video/4204).
Work safe, but not for those with weak stomachs.

I've had the pleasure of watching an egret eat a duckling whole on the Rivers of America.

Swoop, toss, snap, swallow. And it was gone.

I had the pleasure of seeing a Night Heron fly by me on the ROA (while I was canoeing) with tiny waving duckling feet hanging out of it's mouth.

I remember when i was a kid, my brother and I ran downstairs to our basement where we had our hamsters after waking up in the morning and freaking out as we watched momma hamster eating her babies... two had their heads gnawed off... blah!
