Okay, since I keep a watch, here's an upcoming Christie's on May 30th.
browse the catalogue (http://www.christies.com/LotFinder/lfsearch/SearchResults.aspx?intSaleID=21344) (first 2 pages are Disney)

I think Christie's has your number. There are Rudolph Valentino photos right after the Disney cels.

Yes, I know and I can't afford them. But, on a happy note, I obtained some years back, duplicates of the 3 photos Valentino signed to Jean Acker and my copies are when the photos were in better shape. That first one is a real mess. I'd be interested to see the lot of 140 photos, but I fear they're mostly going to be of Acker. But, I have the one not being auctioned, especially for use in my book. So, I'm good and I save myself thousands of dollars for future travel (or car reapirs) ;)

This is the annual Cinevent auction and it typically has items going for far less than they would be from Heritage or Christies.
To browse and search for Disney, go here:

Some cool stuff spread throughout the catalogue. Thankfully, no Valentino to tempt me.

and a good reference for older auctions as well as current items.
I love these Alice in Cartoonland pencil drawings (http://www.liveauctioneers.com/item/3391610) - and love them from afar, I will have to.
Current auctions are here (http://www.liveauctioneers.com/search?q=%2Bdisney) and then a link at the bottom of the page for past auctions.

Plenty of Disney goodies to go around in the upcoming July Auction (http://movieposters.ha.com/common/search_results.php?No=0&chkTnD=on&D=disney&Ntt=disney&Ntk=My_Properties&Ntx=mode+matchall&y=9&N=54+205+206+208&x=10&TnD=1).
Sadly, for me, some primo Valentino stuff, too, none of which I can afford right now. That Son of the Sheik window card is killing me. The 1 sheet from The Eagle is a dream piece, but in that condition, it will go way high. So I am being the self-imposed auction Nazi, telling myself, silently, "No Valentino for you!"

They were trying to sell this whole collection as a single lot on eBay. When I checked over the weekend, it was over $10,000 with the reserve (obviously) not met.

R&R Auctions always has some cook autographs, this one (http://www.rrauction.com/bidtracker_detail.cfm?IN=1174) stood out and I wonder how it escaped the Disney Archive? The other Disney autographs are here (http://www.rrauction.com/browse.cfm?SearchCrit=disney)

I want to participate in the LoT tradition of not allowing a typo to go unremarked upon.
But I can't think of a good (or even, per tradition, not very good) "cook autograph" joke so I'll just go with:
My that Paul Prudhomme has big ears!

Just goes to show, in the dark, I'm not as good a typist as Alex or Erica!

Eek, this auction (http://www.liveauctioneers.com/search?q=disney&fq=&sort=relevance&dtype=gallery&type=live&rows=20&addfq=auction_house%3A%28%22Morphy+Auctions%22%29) is today.
Loads of Disney things. I really love the Mickey Mouse radio.
Talk about merchandising, many things here I'd never seen before, and much more interesting than the plush.

This is fun too! (http://www.liveauctioneers.com/item/4539835)
More piggies! (http://www.liveauctioneers.com/item/4539707)
And, these are just SCARY! (http://www.liveauctioneers.com/item/4539701)
I think I had one of these! (http://www.liveauctioneers.com/item/4539715)
And, the be all to end all! (http://www.liveauctioneers.com/item/4539549)
If I had lots of money and time, I'd spend the day bidding. ;)

Well, the toys and figures do not get to me, though I did like the Snow White charm bracelet. I was most taken with the radio. The stuffed Mickey and Minnie's from that era have always creeped me out.

I don't know if anyone is interested in posters/lobby art, but you might want to check out www.emovieposter.com. It's the site of Bruce Hershenson which has auctions weekly and he has some great stuff. 3 auctions running right now and there is some vitage Disney stuff and modern stuff too. The newest auction has bunches of Japanese posters. Not sure if any Disney in that mix, but always worth checking out. A silent poster (non-Disney) that was gorgeous just auctioned last night for $700, which is CHEAP. So you might score a bargain there. I did! :D
I'm hoping to find something vintage Fantasia in there some time.

For those with fat wallets, Heritage Auction's July Signature Auction has some vintage Disney stuff. Browse the catalogue here (http://movieposters.ha.com/common/search_results.php?N=54+792+4294957167).
emovieposter.com has some interesting foreign-origin posters, most are reissue. emovieposter has 3 auctions running concurrently on a weekly basis and some things have gone dirt cheap.
