As they cracked the capsule Thursday afternoon, University of Washington research team members expected to find a prim and proper package from the nifty 1950s.
What they got was a faceful of pornography, circa 1978, and dirty underwear. The whole story (http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/local/313431_timecapsule27.html).
Hey Wendybeth: what were you doing in the 80's?

Next they''ll be trying to see how many Playboy centerfolds, shriveled-up condoms and double dildoes they can squeeze into a phone booth.

Uhm, I'm not sure I remember. When did they get rid of Quaaludes?

Haha... cute prank. Glad they didn't remove the original items, but bloody brilliant to add more

At least they left the original items intact. But I think it's a shame that they had no respect for the original intent of these folks. A time capsul is suppose to remain sealed until opened by the ones who sealed it. It's just not cool for someone to mess with that.

Yeah .... so then perhaps putting time capsules on college campuses (campusi?) is not such a hot idea.
Did they open the unopened letter to Linda Ronstadt?

Did they add a letter to Linda Lovelace? It would have fit into the theme and RStar would know who it was.
