The story here (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070508/ap_on_re_mi_ea/palestinians_hamas_mickey_mouse), I think Disney might find this Mickey clone a tad upsetting?

Not much that can be done about it.

Palestine to the degrees it is recognized as an independent state is not a signatory to any of the major international treaties regarding copyright and trademark.

To the extent they're not an independent state, it is unlikely that Israel could (would would exert the energy) to enforce copyright and trademark protections in Palestine.

But yeah, I'm sure the Disney suits aren't happy. The Baptists are just pleased that Mickey has finally found religion.

I'm sure there are plenty of other shows with the same messages that continue to run uninterrupted. Apparently the threat of world condemnation won't stop Islamist extremists from getting their message out - but the threat of the Disney corporation looms large and terrible.
